    An engaging novel with an earth-shattering conclusion that will not disappoint. Lost Light is the Harry Bosch series at its best. No loose ends and a quilt work of plots that all come together quite nicely. The major characters are well developed and the narration is superb. If you like Connelly and Bosch, you will not be disappointed.

    I've read all of Child's Reacher books in order and am about halfway through the series. The storylines have all been quite different but the one constant is Reacher. He will prevail no matter what the challenge. Some readers might not like that kind of predictability. I love it. One Shot had the right amount of twists and turns. I particularly liked the character development of the television news anchor. I wouldn't mind seeing her in future installments although I'm not sure that will happen. Then again, Reacher has her phone number and knows where she lives. Dick Hill was again exemplary. I hope to find that he is the narrator for the entire series. I'll close with a familiar refrain: if you like the Reacher novels, you'll love One Shot.

    With 20 minutes left in this listen, I had just about decided to award it five stars. The last 20 minutes brought it down to four. This should not dissuade people from purchasing the book. Coben does his usual excellent job of creating characters that the listener can identify with. He weaves together two separate but related stories that wil have listeners postulating and guessing. At the book's conclusion he inserts a final twist that borders on the preposterous. To say more might give something away. Luckily it doesn't seriously detract from the listening experience. Scott Brick does a fine job with the narration and makes the dialogue and who's speaking pretty easy to follow. Coben came very close to having a great book with many interesting and surprising twists and turns, except for the final one. It is still worth you time, especially if you're a Coben fan.
