Publisher's summary

CIA director Thomas Stansfield is dead - and many individuals in the nation's capital are pleased to hear it. However, their happiness is short-lived because Stansfield's successor - his protege Dr. Irene Kennedy - plans on pursuing Stansfield's goals - a fact the late director's fiercest enemies refuse to accept.

Israel has discovered that Saddam Hussein is close to entering the nuclear arms race - and they've vowed to stop the Iraqi madman before he can get his hands on the ultimate weapon. With the Middle East teetering on the precipice of chaos and devastation, the president of the United States is forced to act.

The commander-in-chief's secret weapon? None other than the CIA's top counterterrorism operative, Mitch Rapp. With the haunting specter of World War III looming, Rapp races against time and impossible odds - navigating the deadly alleys of Baghdad, tearing through the corruption-riddled streets of Washington D.C., and taking drastic measures against anyone who gets in his way.

Hear Mitch Rapp, the CIA's top operative, battle global terrorism in more of Vince Flynn's political thrillers.

Too Abridged

The main reason I give this book such low marks is that it's so abridged that it's hard to really get into the characters or the story. It's too stilted. I would love to see this in the unabridged form. I bet it's a much better book. After listening to this, I will not buy an abridged version of a book again.

Enjoyment at its Max

I just love Vince Flynn's stories. He sure knows how to write them and the reader knows how to read each characters part and pull the listener into the story.

Whis it was in they unabriged format

This was the third book that I have read with Mitch Rapp in it although this is the first in the group. It had a great plot and kept you wanting you to read more and never putting it down. They only downsied to it was that it was in they abriged format.

Flynn keeps rolling

Yet another excellent book by Vince Flynn. A great additon to the catalog. The abrigded audio format, while keeping the pace of the book, lacks the depth found in the unabridged print version. Do not let this dscourage you, however, download this book and you will not be sorry.

Great continuation of Flynn's last book

The story kept me rivetted to the OTIS. I couldn't stop listening. This book is a great continuation and even better than the last one. I can't wait to start listening to the next one.

GREAT book!

Fantastic addition to the series - I have absolutely NO idea why they don't offer an unabridged version of these books.

Underwhelmed.

Underwhelmed. This was the first Vince Flynn book that I have experienced. Because I have seen so many good reviews of his work, I can only think that the abridged recording takes too much away from the book Mr. Flynn wrote.

Political Intrigue

Vince FLynn has written another great book on the political intrigue in Washington. While a book of fiction, it reflects much of the thinking and behavior that leads to the worse of our political institutions and refects what happens when big money and politics intersect and focus on their related interests to the detriment of the people's interests.

Worth the reading.

Predictable

Pretty predicatble and "simple" plot. Dialog between the main characters was unbelievable. Reader's manner of expressing feeling of different characteres seemed waaaay off from what they would have actually sounded like. I just found it too much like a movie script where it could be done better.
