I remember the first time I ever stumbled onto "This American Life" over a Saturday afternoon tuned into NPR. Ever since then, I have always been fascinated and interested in whatever subject covered. Their format, presentation, and subjects are truly unique, and the show is truly American in nature.
If you are going to subscribe to an Audible show, make it this one.

This is one of those radio shows that gives me 'driveway moments'. The material is usually very interesting, well told, and often has a wry or poignant element to it. The show sometimes wanders a little too far from its weekly theme but it is otherwise an excellent listen for commuters. I look forward to each week's installment.

I love this show but am often not available when my public radio station airs it so this is the perfect solution. Ira Glass and the rest of the This American Life staff do an excellent job each week bringing an hour long show dedicated to a theme. The show is split into four segments and then you get four different stories devoted to that theme. It is a great show and if you have not heard it - please take a listen. I look forward to being able to get the newest edition each Saturday when it becomes available. I can then listen on my way to work, running errands, etc and don't worry about leaving the radio and missing parts. I am so happy with this subscription it is the whole reason I joined audible.
