Publisher's Summary

Diana Gabaldon's fans will be delighted to find Jamie and Claire as spirited and endearing as ever in this fourth installment of this magnificent saga. Romance, history, and time travel blend once again as the couple builds a new life together in the wilderness of pre-Revolutionary America.

Twice Claire has used an ancient stone circle to travel back to the 18th century. The first time she found love with a Scottish warrior but had to return to the 1940s to save their unborn child. The second time, 20 years later, she reunited with her lost love but had to leave behind the daughter that he would never see. Now Brianna, from her 1960s vantage point, has found a disturbing obituary and will risk everything in an attempt to change history.

Davina Porter's narrative talent adds a special vibrance and resonance to Gabaldon's complex, colorful characters.

Great Scot! Don't miss the complete Outlander series:
Outlander
Dragonfly in Amber
Voyager
Drums of Autumn
The Fiery Cross
A Breath of Snow and Ashes
An Echo in the Bone

Please note: Even though Recorded Books has produced unabridged editions of both The Fiery Cross and A Breath of Snow and Ashes, they do not have what's called "digital rights" for those recordings. That means they can sell them in CD format, but they cannot yet distribute them via digital services such as Audible and iTunes. The last time we checked with Diana's agent, his belief was that it could take until sometime next year to resolve the situation. It's wrapped up in contracts and such that have to be untangled. Unfortunately, that's out of our hands. But we keep pushing. Stay tuned!

What the Critics Say

"Gabaldon's range is impressive, whether she's evoking the rawness of colonial America, the cozy clutter of a modern Scottish parsonage, the lusts of the body or the yearnings of the spirit. Her legion of fans will love diving into this ocean of romance." (Publishers Weekly)

Davina Porter is one of the most gifted narrators I have ever listened to. No matter how many characters she is portraying you have no difficulty in knowing which one is speaking. I love this series. What can say? Can't wait to get to the next book.

I have read all books up to Drums of Autumn. They have been fantastic due to the author's writing skills and imagination and the mesmerising narrator. I now see that Diana Gobaldon has her latest book out unabridged. I have stalled! I cannot listen any further until the Fiery Cross and Breath of Snow... are availabe in unabrigded versions. The abridged versions are a rip off. So the question is...when will these books become available in unbridge version??? Guess I have to read them.

Great series, but you have to start with the first book "Outlander" then you are hooked! All the books have been great.

Best series I have ever read GREAT narrator. Ms Porter brings the story to life. You feel like you know these people.

You can't stop listening but you don't want the book to end. Do not waste your time with the abridge version you will be back for the full book.
