This was even better than the other Charlaine Harris series. Well read. Next book in the series is due in October, I am very ready. I buy almost nothing in hardcover, but this series is worth it. Just a super listen, too. The characters are believable even if you wonder about their special abilities. The voice is smooth and certain, Good read. Solid plot.

The story is fine, though it's not as engaging as the Sukie series. The reader is terrible, like she's always having a cold. The voice is so old for the young character, and it's slow, emotionless and distracting.

I know this might be bad to say but I think I might actually like Harper better than Sookie. I really hope that this series catches on as well as the Southern Vampires.

I enjoyed the first book and loved this one. Great plot, believable character, excellent reader and nice twists and turns. Am looking for the next one right now.

As the last book in this series (so far), I enjoyed the entire series. I really enjoyed this one more than the others and it could have been because I felt I "knew" the characters better. I still felt the narrator was less than enthusiastic but it didn't detract from the story. All in all, I would recommend this series and book to everyone.
