I got this title hoping my kids would like like it, but now I'm the one who is hooked. I've now listened to the first 4 AF books and couldn't wait for my credits to renew before I bought the others. Listen at your own risk because you will want to follow Artemis and Holly through all of their adventures!

Not only is the story good, but the narrator is very good as well. I listen to books at work and this one is fairly even in volume, while still being entertaining with good differences between character voices. This means I can hear the books and not annoy my office mates. (Headphones not allowed.) Better yet, the next stories are really good, too!

Well written with lots of humor! A great listen on our 9 hour driving vacation.

As a mother of very young children, I'm always on the hunt for books that interest me, yet are kid friendly. (no cussing, vulgarity, etc) The Artemis Fowl books are wonderful. Yes, they are technically children's books, but they definitely have enough depth and plot to interest adults. The narrator does an excellent job, and is one of the few I really enjoy. Beware- the fifth Artemis Fowl book has a different narrator. I didn't read any of the reviews before buying it and I really wish I had.

The first of the Fowl books. A wonderful story with a great performance by Nathaniel Parker.
