Publisher's summary

One minute Leigh is walking home in the early hours of the morning, and the next a vampire is sinking his teeth into her neck. Turns out it was a rogue vampire marked for termination, but it does Leigh little good, because the damage's already been done. She's become one of them.

Lucian Argeneau, hunter of rogue vampires, has been alive for over 2,000 years, and there's very little to excite him anymore. Food has become tasteless, sex is ordinary. Then Leigh drops into his life. Suddenly, he finds himself craving coffee...and imagining the sassy brunette atop the black satin sheets on his nice big bed. It's Lucian's job now to enlighten Leigh on the inner workings of being immortal - and tutoring her is igniting a fire in him that hasn't burned in centuries.

But until they stop a renegade bloodsucker from destroying the human race, passion will have to wait!

Love in vein: listen to more tales of the Argeneau Vampires.

LUCIAN

I Love this story, I love how it slowly broke down Lucian's walls and he fall in love. I have 5 other books in this series and love them all but this was my favorite.

Light and Enjoyable

I found this audio light and enjoyable. The story line was as most in this series, however more enjoyable, light and funny. No ego hang ups etc. It was refreshing to listen to both Lucian and Lee's perceptions throughout the audio, loved Julian. Narration was good i felt a more vibrant narration would have given the story a bit more zing.

My favorite so far!

This book in the Argeneau Series was my favorite so far! I love Lucian, he seems the sexiest of all of the family and the story had the best ending! Although I do still love A Quick Bite, and I love how Lisianna and Greg are tied into this story!

Whoever said continuity was important… Was right!

What made the experience of listening to Bite Me If You Can the most enjoyable?

The narrator was very good & NOT Victoria McGee! Rick Robertson did an excellent job!

What does Rick Robertson bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He added comedic timing… Something you wouldn't get if you just read the book.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Bite Me If You Can… Of course.

Any additional comments?

I think that the guys that they have had narrate this series are doing a much better job than the girls… Especially Victoria McGee. She doesn't not make a good narrator for this series!

It was entertaining and funny.

I really like this series and can't wait for the hunter books to be released on audio. I enjoyed the read and look forward to listening too.

Lynsay Sands is Awesome

Would you listen to Bite Me If You Can again? Why?

Of Course I would listen again, I listen to all here books so far at lest 2- 3 times. It helps pass the day by and I enjoy listen to here the stories while walking, resting, and just for the fun.

Who was your favorite character and why?

my favorite character in this novel is Lucian. It was neat to see the stern and athortian go through denial, recognition, and finally make the same sort of life mate mistakes everyone else made. Linsay done a total awesome job with this book.

What does Rick Robertson bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He is way better at personalizing the characters that gave them more real feel to their vocie then I could. Thanks Rick.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, but my schedule made me stretch it out to a week. But I still enjoyed and will be listenting to it again when I go on a mini vacation.

Any additional comments?

Lynsay, keep up the great work and looking forward to your next book in the life of these immortals.

Really dull

I have not read the others in this series, but this was poorly written with dull characters.

I love Lucian

By far my favorite of the series thus far (I have read the first 28 so far) I don’t usually write reviews, but I felt this book needed to stand out from the other 27 in the series. Lucian was a character that I liked before this book, but it seemed he was too old to have true emotions much less find a life mate. He was always in control and made decisions from a logical and pragmatic standpoint, not letting his emotions play a part (or even revealing he had deep emotions). Watching him lose his cool and his control was hilarious and it made him my absolute favorite, even after reading book 28 and getting to know many more members of the family. Love all these books, but I love Lucian’s the most.

A different approach

I read a lot of romance novels around the subject matter of vampires. This was a refreshing twist to some of the attributes of being a vampire.
