Starfall - a world on the edge, where crooks and smugglers hide in the gloomy shadows and modern technology refuses to work. And that includes the TARDIS. The pioneers who used to be drawn by the hope of making a fortune from the mines can find easier picking elsewhere. But they still come, either for the romance of it, or old-fashioned organic mining, or in the hope of finding the lost treasure of Hamlek Glint - scourge of the spaceways, privateer, adventurer, bandit... Will the TARDIS ever work again? Is Glint’s lost treasure waiting to be found? And does the fabled Resurrection Casket - the key to eternal life - really exist? With the help of new friends, and to the horror of new enemies, The Doctor and Rose aim to find out... Read by the Tenth Doctor himself, this thrilling adventure features the Doctor and Rose as played by David Tennant and Billie Piper in the acclaimed hit series from BBC Television. Also included is an exclusive bonus interview with the author, Justin Richards, compiled by David Darlington of Doctor Who Magazine.©2006 BBC Audiobooks Ltd; (P)2006 BBC Audiobooks Ltd Science Fiction Science Fiction & Fantasy Fiction Movie, TV & Video Game Tie-Ins Genre Fiction

One of television’s most beloved and enduring sci-fi shows, Doctor Who has been on our screens for as long as many of us can remember. What started as a two-hearted alien traversing the galaxy in a time machine disguised as a police box quickly turned into a global cultural phenomenon. 13 regenerations later, the Whoniverse is still going strong—with 38 seasons on the air and an extensive library of supporting literary listens. Allons-y!

Specially read by Tenant. Great Story, wish there was more about Rose because their close relation is one of my favorite things about Dr. Who.

Love all Dr Who

The Resurrection Casket is probably my favorite Dr Who book so far. It's a great mix of swashbuckling space adventure and oddball characters that you can't help but love. (I see you Kevin!) It also highlights a slight weakness of the TARDIS which you don't get to see very often. A quick listen and highly entertaining.

Kevin is the best

I WILL ABSOLUTELY LISTEN TO THIS AGAIN AND WILL BE BUYING A PHYSICAL COPY ASAP!!!! So perfect that David Tennant (the 10th Doctor in the tv series) is the voice actor of the 10th Doctor in this story!!! The story was amazing with plot twists I didn’t see coming, as well as a unique story line!
RECOMMENDING THIS TO ANYONE AND EVERYONE!!! Sci-fi nerd lovers… here’s your next listen!!!

David Tennant continues to amaze me with his talent! 🤩

Perhaps not entirely the most original story (after all there is another "black spot" episode in Doctor Who and there's only so many time you can do Treasure Island) but it's Doctor Who and it's David Tennant bringing the Doctor to life again along with showcasing his amazing range of voices so what's not to love? A great addition to the collections of 10th Doctor fans and Doctor Who fans in general.

As much fun as watching the show

What did you love best about Doctor Who?

I really liked the secondary characters - the villains and ordinary folk - and the world created in this story. I like that Starfall has a necessarily steampunk sort of atmosphere, and the story is creative and well-told. I was disappointed that this author didn't have the knack for conveying all of the 10th Doctor's mannerisms, and he and Rose both fell sort of flat as characters, which would have been very disappointing if not for the overall very good tale.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

I kind of had figured it out, but in a way that was fun. Felt a little like I was on an adventure of my own with the Doctor.

Which character – as performed by David Tennant – was your favorite?

The Doctor, of course!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

one or two, yeah. It was short and I didn't want to lose the thread of it.

Unique villains and an always clever doctor
