Written by Martin Luther King, Jr. himself, this astounding autobiography brings to life a remarkable man changed the world —and still inspires the desires, hopes, and dreams of us all.

Martin Luther King: the child and student who rebelled against segregation. The dedicated minister who questioned the depths of his faith and the limits of his wisdom. The loving husband and father who sought to balance his family’s needs with those of a growing, nationwide movement. And to most of us today, the world-famous leader who was fired by a vision of equality for people everywhere.

Relevant and insightful, The Autobiography of Martin Luther King, Jr. offers King’s seldom disclosed views on some of the world’s greatest and most controversial figures: John F. Kennedy, Malcolm X, Lyndon B. Johnson, Mahatma Gandhi, and Richard Nixon. It paints a moving portrait of a people, a time, and a nation in the face of powerful change. And it shows how Americans from all walks of life can make a difference if they have the courage to hope for a better future.© and (P)1998 Intellectual Properties Management, Inc., All Rights Reserved; ©1998 Time Warner AudioBooks (Packaging Only), A Division of Time Warner Trade Publishing

This book was very impactful on me. It was special knowing Dr. King wrote down these thoughts and stories. The clips of Dr. King’s speeches are a great touch and put this over the edge in terms of worth and enjoyment.

I never knew MLK was vehemently against the Vietnam and all war really. I found this very telling and fitting of his teachings. This book helps you see Dr. King was much more than the I Have a Dream speech and the civil rights movement.

Wonderful

Everyone needs to hear this book. I heard it with my soul and I hope it has taught me to be a better person and a stronger person. MLK was an amazing and beautiful man and Im so glad I got to hear this and hear his powerful message. I don't know that I heard things I didn't know, but I heard it in a different way that touched me deeply. I'm so happy i bought this.
