I downloaded both versions one and two and am very pleased. I am hoping Earworms comes out with version 3 as this good application for beginners. The background music is great and makes listening more enjoyable. Mandarin is VERY difficult so you must listen over and over until you find yourself picking up words and phrases. Patience is a virtue and like Golf it takes a lot of practice. The speakers did a great job and I would highly recommend it.

This is a great way to learn Mandarin Chinese. I've tried many other podcasts, read books, and this is the most accurate learning help I've found. Earworms uses the correct Chinese words by an actual Chinese person. They aren't singing the words so you can actually hear the tones which is so important for learning Chinese! Thanks so much! I'll definitely buy earworms again!

The background music playing all the time makes it hard to understand.

I was enjoying the earworms method, started learning things fast. When I shared what I had learned with my Mandarin-native-speaking friend, though, I was informed that the phrases this audio teaches are often antiquated and not the way people actually talk. Which makes me think this was a hack-job by someone who didn't really know Mandarin, and didn't have Chinese friends to check with before publishing.

As I prepare to go to China, I find this audiobook very easy to learn simple phrases that will help me for the few days I'll be there. I look forward to using what I've learned in the next few weeks.
