Publisher's Summary

Minty Lloyd is now the second wife to her husband, Nathan, but she is haunted by her very much alive, and quite reborn, predecessor Rose. Yet, after a shocking phone call, Minty finds herself united with an unexpected ally, the woman she once betrayed.

With Buchan's signature gift for capturing women's daily joys and struggles, Wives Behaving Badly is an irresistible story of love, loss, and renewal that explores the very nature of friendship and the bonds that sometimes grow strongest when stretched to breaking.

What the Critics Say

"Listeners who appreciate Buchan's blend of humor and poignancy will find a trove of it." (Publishers Weekly)

From AudioFile

In Buchan's sequel to REVENGE OF THE MIDDLE-AGED WOMAN, the revenge is bittersweet as former mistress Minty has moved into her predecessor's home and become the mother of twins, yet she still finds herself in competition with her husband's first wife. Justine Eyre does not bother with major voice distinctions. But she does a delightful treble for the twins as they pull their mother's strings. Trauma and tragedy occur, but Eyre produces no heartbreaker. Hearing Minty plow her way through squabbles with her husband's adult children, ex-wife, and former friends may not capture those who did not watch her victory dance in the first novel, but Buchan's fans will treasure the comeuppance. I listened to a couple hours of this hoping it would get better. It is so boring and the narrator drones on. You don't care about any of the characters.

The book is lacking in action, but has some insight into the human experience with death, adultry, and family. I found I was sometimes bored, but then surprised with some new way to express and explain our ties to one another. Loved the narrator
