What is a Podcast?
A Podcast is an audio program that can be downloaded to your computer. When you subscribe to an Audible Podcast, future editions of that audio program will be automatically downloaded to your computer into the podcast receiving program ("podcatcher") of your choice, such as iTunes. You can then listen to your Podcast on your computer or transfer it to a mobile audio device, like the AppleŽ iPodŽ, and listen on the go. (An iPod is not required to listen to podcasts but combined with iTunes music management software, provides an excellent listening experience.)
What is an Audible Podcast?
An Audible Podcast is any of our digital audio magazines, newspapers, or radio programs delivered via the method described above. Say you subscribed to The Wall Street Journal Audio Edition. Before Podcasting, you had to visit audible.com every day to pick up the latest edition. When you subscribe to the WSJ Audio Edition Podcast, the latest episode will be delivered to you via RSS as soon as it's published. Of course, you can still visit audible.com and pick up your subscriptions traditional way, but by using Podcasting, you'll save lots of time and energy.
