Publisher's summary

Brought to you by Penguin.

Every time we eat, we have the power to radically transform the world we live in.

Our choices can help alleviate the most pressing issues we face today: the climate crisis, infectious and chronic diseases, human exploitation and, of course, non-human exploitation. Undeniably, these issues can be uncomfortable to learn about, but the benefits of doing so cannot be overstated. It is quite literally a matter of life and death.

Through exploring the major ways that our current system of animal farming affects the world around us, as well as the cultural and psychological factors that drive our behaviours, This Is Vegan Propaganda answers the pressing question, is there a better way?

Whether you are a vegan already or curious to learn more, this book will show you the other side of the story that has been hidden for far too long. Based on years of research and conversations with slaughterhouse workers and farmers, to animal rights philosophers, environmentalists and everyday consumers, vegan educator and public speaker Ed Winters will give you the knowledge to understand the true scale and enormity of the issues at stake.

This Is Vegan Propaganda is the empowering and ground-breaking book on veganism that everyone, vegan and sceptic alike, needs to hear.

Life-Changing!

Ed Winters is among the brightest and most articulate spokespersons for the vegan movement. As a new vegan, I learned so much from this book that not only strengthened my resolve to never go back to the willful blindness of eating animal products, but also gave me the knowledge and courage to be an ambassador to others. I recommend this book to all, vegan or not.

Perfect

Ed really has made the perfect book about veganism, going through every topic one can think related to it. It’s a great resource for vegans and a great education tool for non-vegans.

Everyone should listen to this book

I would recommend this book to everyone. It is a comprehensive look at the many reasons why we should adopt a vegan lifestyle. There are a lot of hard facts in this book but the end is optimistic and uplifting

A must read for vegans and non-vegans alike

Ed was one of the activist that turned me vegan and i have been vegan over 5 years now. somehow…i feel even more vegan after reading this and will be sharing it with everyone i can. this book truly validates every reason why veganism is the future. Thank you Ed for all that you do, you are a true inspiration.

I once read a comment that Ed’s name will be in our future generations history books and i very much second that claim. The future is a kinder world because of your work.

Great book

I’m subscribed to the Earthling Ed channel on YouTube and had to grab this book when it was released. I first grabbed the audio version and loved it so much I got a physical copy as well. Ed’a think-pieces are always backed by research and doused in empathy and non judgement. I appreciate that.

Ed does it better than most.

Of the many animal liberation texts, this masterful compilation of arguments in favor of veganism is truly a class of its own.

Ed does a great job of empathetically reaching out to a skeptical reader and walking them through the best ways to align their values with their actions.

As a vegan, this serves as a great tool for facilitating conversations in the future in a more informed and effective manner.

Also read in a very clear and engaging way.

Well done!

Comprehensive Review of Animal Agriculture

Really just an amazing book that breaks down the macro and micro concepts behind the animal agriculture industry. Although Earthling Ed wisely sticks to the moral debates in person, this book offers a comprehensive evaluation of the data. He helped me transition from vegetarian to veganism years ago and think this book is a must read!

Essential Education for Vegans and Activists

Loved it. Ed Winters smartly and simply lays out lesson plan for anyone interested in or currently participating in veganism and it support. He addresses anti-vegan argumentation with charitability and effective reasoning to help you maintain your credibility and sanity when engaging in this type of discourse or debate. Winters provided fantastic arguments and citations on the damages and dangers of animal exploitation practices to our health, our culture, and our planet. Moreover, he offers solutions that can be applied on personal as well as commercial and governmental levels to affect change towards a regenerative and moral future. Winters creates a highly effective and enriching call to action without the need to damn individuals or create unnecessarily incendiary remarks about systemic structures. I feel his position is measured, reasonable, and highly inclusive to those who do partake in animal products. Thank you for the knowledge and motivation to keep working towards the reduction of cruelty and suffering in our society.
