Kate is a Keeper—a storyteller, magic-wielder, and researcher—but a single mystery has evaded her all her life: What happened on the tragic day when two strangers stole not only the puzzle box that hummed with magic but so much more? She and her brother Bo have searched for twenty years with no luck. Until Venn, a surly elf, shows up on the hidden doorstep of the Keepers' Stronghold with that same aenigma box—and a message that Bo has disappeared. Publisher's summary
Jael Furyck is a warrior queen, fighting to save her family since she was ten years old. But what happens when she is taken prisoner and cannot fight at all?
Reunited with her husband after an epic battle in Alekka, Jael wants nothing more than to return to her island kingdom and start again. She first heads to Andala to pick up her children, only to have her plans upended by a dream revealing a horrifying future: her brothers dead, her daughter, even herself—all of the Furycks gone.
She seeks urgent advice from her grandmother—a better dreamer than she will ever be—soon discovering that she has mysteriously disappeared in Tuura.
As her dreams quickly become a nightmare threatening her entire family, Jael does what she knows best—she fights. Until she is caught in the web of danger and intrigue herself, torn away from everything she knows, from everyone she loves...
The Shadow Isle is the first book in the Fate of the Furycks series. Perfect for fans of action-packed epic fantasy, it weaves mysterious threads around epic battles, warring kingdoms, magical dreamers, and dangerous enemies intent on revenge. This series is set in the same world as the bestselling fantasy series, The Furyck Saga, but can be enjoyed independently. Intended for mature listeners.

Story
Mating is a matter of politics for Night, not the heart. To prevent a forced union that will plunge the Lunar Court into war, he must find and bond his true mate. When he lays eyes on Rain, he knows the shy forest witch is the bond mate he's been searching for. Unprepared for the intensity of his attraction, Night makes an offer that would keep his priorities straight and his court safe: a marriage of convenience. Any eligible woman—mortal and immortal alike—would leap at the chance to become the powerful duke's bride. But Rain isn't interested.

Story
Faye agreed to her sister’s brilliant idea to sneak into the Hunter’s Moon ball. A night the vampires in attendance held sacred, lusting under the eerie glow of the blood red moon. Faye was no vampire. She wasn’t even a race that possessed magic. Her ceremony failed, marking her an Anarian. A mortal without magic. After a run in with the Shadow Prince, Faye begins dreaming of him. His yearnful gaze leaves her feeling cherished after she wakes. A pleasant daydream, since men like him didn’t exist. Not for women like her.

Story
I'm the Princess of Solaria, a realm full of beasts that could make the Devil cower. That title means nothing because I'll be dead by the week's end. Like my sisters before me, the moment I turned twenty-three, my father announced a gauntlet. A fight to the death, where the most ruthless of the land could try to claim me as their bride. Desperate, I entered the gauntlet and fought for my own hand. But the mad king is a twisted monster who loves to play tricks, and now, instead of wearing a crown, I'm a prisoner, set to be executed for defying the king's tradition.

Story
Captain Cherry Pendit is a very improper oracle. A proper seer warns the hero, then retires to the luxury of her temple while the hero saves the day. Pfft. Boring. Cherry doesn't need a hero to defy fate. In fact, she intends to rescue the hero. There might be a few bumps along the way—like an entire alien species her oracular talent didn't warn her about—but Captain Cherry Pendit of the Delphic Dame is prepared to adapt and overcome. If only the pirates, the good guys—who might be bad guys—and her allies would just stop freaking interfering by pushing their own stupid agendas.

Story
Marlow needs to believe she's crazy. The alternative would mean embracing the gift—or curse—shared by her mother and grandmother: she can see angels and demons, including a dark and haunting entity who's been with Marlow her entire life. At least, she believes that's all he is until a fae from the Nordic pantheon strolls into her life and informs her that she's been sharing a bed with the Prince of Hell.

SO GREAT TO BE BACK IN JAEL AND ADELLA'S WORLD
ACTION, INTRIGUE, MAGIC, POLITICAL INTRIGUE, FASCINATING CHARACTERS! It's all here. I read the first series, and was so pleased when Jael and co turned up in The Lords of Alekka series, but I was over the moon to see A.E. Rayne is writing another series centered around the Furycks. i usually wait until a series is complete before starting because I hate cliff-hangers. But, in this case I couldn't wait. Now, like others, I am waiting for the next book... The narrator is above great. Love the way she gives each character a distinct voice.
