It was very 😊 good!

Shining and something else I can’t put my finger on! But it was a good listen! I liked it a lot.

Quick and fun jaunt

The Handyman Method is a fun horror jaunt in the style of early Stephen King with lots of body horror and jump scares.

Haunted house to a whole new level

Waited months for this one and it was well worth it. Quite possibly one of my all time favorites and I will definitely read again. I was hooked! Finished it in less than two days.

Read by a Handywoman

I found this to be very well written, but it reminded me an awful lot of the Amityville horror in many ways. Also a little bit of the movie house in there and maybe poltergeist. Put those in a blender and you get this book, the handyman method.

He’s baaaaack.

I’ve been waiting for a really solid Nick Cutter novel since The Troop. Some of his other books have been good, but weren’t quite as good as The Troop. I feel like this one is. Now I’m impatiently awaiting what’s next.

Started Fairly Well …Ended Poorly

This started off ok and ended not so great. I like Nick Cutter but this is not one of his best. I am emphatic to animals so the turtle outcome bothered me.

Uniquely Horrifying

Nick Cutter has a way with prose that make his tales beautiful in their carnage.

really good

I was on the fence about listening to this but I'm just glad I did. It was very good and different from normal stories.

I wasn’t ready for this level of gore.

I’m a newer fan of Nick Cutter, but I know he’s masterful in his ability to paint a horrifying picture. But this one… wow. I’m giving the story 4 stars, but only because there are familiar troupes taken from The Shining. But this is completely worth the listen. You don’t want to pause. You also want so badly at the end to stop it to get a break from the horrifying mental scenes.
