Story
This is a summary of Marcus Aurelius’ Meditations. Meditations is essentially a scrapbook of thoughts written over a 19-year period; it’s not ordered and it repeats itself frequently as ideas reoccurred to the author at different times. For this reason, it can be hard for a casual reader to extract the myriad messages contained within. This summary helps in that by interpreting Meditations and reducing it from around 50,000 words down to 4,400. While it has been interpreted, the author has done his best not to embellish it.

Story
In July 1995, San Jose Mercury-News reporter Gary Webb found the Big One - the blockbuster story every journalist secretly dreams about - without even looking for it. A simple phone call concerning an unexceptional pending drug trial turned into a massive conspiracy involving the Nicaraguan Contra rebels, L.A. and Bay Area crack cocaine dealers, and the Central Intelligence Agency.

Ehh.. Not bad
It’s not a bad summary. The guy def talks like a robot that you hear online sometimes. If you can get past that, it’s not bad at all. If you don’t like that monotone, robotic voice, then do not get this. Each chapter is around 5 minutes long, which is not bad to get a general idea of what the real book is about. Definitely gonna get the real book now, but I’m biased because I was gonna get it regardless of this summary. Listen to the preview. It’ll help you decide.

Great book, probably the best on motivation!
Love the book! Super-useful, gonna apply it now by writing the take-aways for starters. Didn't like the narrator's voice a bit and the way he reads, the connection within and between sentences sound artificial and his voice seems monotonous at times. This is probably the only book or the summary of a book that you need if you struggle with motivation and reaching your goals.

NOT a summery, abridged, badly.
Jarring transitions and references to parts of the book that have been removed. This seems like an excellent book, but a bad “summery”. I plan to buy the full book.
