A series end

Most of the reviews here would leave you to think this was a dissatisfying conclusion to the series and while, I do agree that it felt somewhat rushed, I do also enjoy that we got a look into where everyone is now and how all the lives have changed from the start of the series till now. All and all a great series and a fitting conclusion in my opinion.

This is a compendium. I hate those.

The story ends quickly and should have been included in the last book. The rest is just a compendium of side stories . Not my cup of tea

book one through seven or five star

Love the series book one through seven awesome story in the cliffhanger on book 7 was amazing but man. book 8 The first chapter is the only one that is awesome in this book. The chapters all over the place sometimes you don't even know when a new story starts and ends it's like the author just threw in a bunch of ideas and fillers from other books just to make this book very disappointing. Hope this is not the end and we can see the new threats that arrive. and if the author reads this please don't mess it up like this book 8

i like the stories after

i liked the short stories after honestly.....i like them so much I thought i'd write this review and even have 2 hours of stories left to go. Could have probably been wrapped up in book 7 and then a proper, even better bunch of stories in it's own volume. (this one).

I don’t get the bad reviews

A series that actually ties up all the loose ends. I would give it more stars for that alone if I could.

Love it!

This has been my fifth time reading through this series. I would read after every book was dropped starting with the 3rd book. Thank you so much for this amazing series!

enjoyed

I really did enjoy the series. I do agree with other people that the story could of wrapped up in volume 7. It was enjoyabl seeing the after story of everyone - where they are now on the new timeline. I always wonder what the main characters did after the main events and how everyone is fairing afterwards so strangely enough it scratch that curiosity quite nicely.

great overall story

some may have an issue with the way the series ended, but regardless of that, I believe it's a story you can read/listen to over and over again. I can't wait for the anime to come out.

The main story ends a bit quickly.

It was sudden, but the side story and epilogue are really sweet. I can see why people were annoyed. a third of the way through the story, it seems like everything we'd actually been invested in was wiped away. But throughout the entire story I did notice that waaaaaaay too many people died and there was too much destruction. Plus, there wasn't much time to flesh out his relationship with Hunter Cha so it was nice that the bonus story/epilogue covered that. All in all I enjoyed it even if i was a bit pissed at the end of like chapter 5. One thing that sucks about the end of most action/adventure/fantasy stories is that after the dramatic climax you want the story to go on for a bit and to see our heroes enjoy the peace they've earned. Think of the ending of Lord of The Rings, for example. It was a bold move, to be sure, but I thoroughly enjoyed the actual day to day of the happy ending. I'm being intentionally vague to avoid spoilers but yeah I can recommend this. Also, I just realized I can type more than 15 words, so this is a review for the whole series 😅. I didn't like Jinwoo very much at first, I have to be honest. He takes way too long to make really easy decisions, he refuses 99% of what people ask of him only to wind up doing it anyway and his character feels a bit inconsistent (not to mention mean) at times. But he's a scrappy God of death and I salute him! Given how overpowered he is, it was nice to see him actually lose a couple of fights in this book and the last one. On last piece of criticism for the last book that was fixed in this one I was annoyed when he stopped leveling up last book so I'm glad they brought that feature back towards the end of this one in an interesting way.
