Publisher's summary

What part of the Second Amendment don’t you understand?

That’s the question posed by award-winning, bestselling author, and professional firearms instructor Larry Correia.

Bringing with him the practical experience that comes from having owned a high-end gun store—catering largely to law enforcement—and as a competitive shooter and self-defense trainer, Correia blasts apart the emotion-laden, logic-free rhetoric of the gun-control fanatics who turn every "mass shooting" into a crazed call for violating your rights, abusing the Constitution—and doing absolutely nothing to really fight crime.

In his essential new audiobook, In Defense of the Second Amendment, Correia reveals:

  • Why "gun-free" zones are more dangerous for law-abiding citizens,
  • How the Second Amendment does indeed include your right to own an AR-15—and why that’s not an "outdated" concept,
  • Why "red flag" laws don’t work, can be easily abused, and ignore a much more commonsensical approach to keeping guns out of the wrong hands,
  • The insanity of "criminal justice reform" that frees dangerous criminals and "gun reform" that penalizes your right to self-defense, and
  • How we can return to a society that has a safe and healthy relationship with guns—as we had for most of our history.

Correia’s promise: "Believe me, I’ve heard every argument relating to gun control possible. I can show you how to defend your rights."

Urgent, informed, with vitally important information for whoever who owns a gun or is thinking about owning a gun or who cares about the preservation of our constitutional rights, In Defense of the Second Amendment is a landmark book of enduring importance.

Easily relatable explanation of why 2A is valid

The way Larry presents the second amendment with modern examples and clear and concise explanation of how it can be manipulated is a gift. I recommend this book for anyone considering owning a firearm and why it is important.

All the pro-2A arguments you need in one place

I've followed Larry's work for well over a decade now. His first non-fiction book is a great expansion in his classic pro-2A essays from his blog. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to get past cheap emotion and shallow thought on an important topic.

Well done.

This book was very informative, well written, well reasoned, and accurate. It should be required reading in schools nationwide.

Not for the faint of feelings

The author rips into the pro-gun control crowd with a no holds barred approach, easily debunking every argument I’ve ever heard in favor of “reasonable gun control”.

Please listen or read to understand 2A better.

For an active 2A supporter, this help put into words what I have been trying to tell any anti-gun people for years.

Makes sense to me

Well thought out, well written and well read. Larry's first foray into non-fiction will be my go to as a suggested read for all of my 'other' friends.

Comprehensive, steady, and measured.

Larry Correia brings a wealth of experience and information to this topic. Now, I can just refer people to this book instead of trying to argue with them.

The facts and stats

Loved the attitude of this author. This gave me courage, I was tired of being beaten down for my belief in our constitution and our right to protect ourselves. Truth on our real enemies of our freedoms!!

Simple, Clear, and Concise

Author Larry Correia, quite effectively, lines up all the reasons why all Americans (left, right and middle) should be in support of the second amendment and how to support it... even if you're not the type of person to personally own firearms.

Mr. Correia put every bullet point out and simple and easy to understand terminology. The book is informative without being condescending, and John McClane does an excellent job of relaying those facts to us.

It is a good book for those people who do support the second amendment, and an even better one for those who are on the fence or don't.

One thing is for sure, if you choose to purchase this book, it will not be a waste of your time.
