Publisher's summary

Grier is nursing a broken heart after Boaz announced his engagement to another woman, but life goes on. Or it would if vampire assassins would stop taking pot shots at her every time she leaves Woolworth House. Seriously, who sends archers to deliver murdergrams these days?

To protect herself, Grier must pull out all the stops, even if it means revealing her darkest secret. All eyes are on her, and - for the first time - she begins to understand why Linus wears so many masks.

But the target isn't Grier, and when the archers single him out, it feels like one of their arrows might have struck what remains of her heart.

Contains mature themes.

Holy Crap....

This has become one of my favorite series’. With each book my love for the characters grows. Greer is my spirit animal!

The story seems to take on a life of its own with each page turned and let me tell you that is a hard task! Each new danger or endeavor Greer and Linus go after pulls them closer and closer together. Which, it should. Greer and her protectors are in for a fight they can’t see coming. With each new threat the suspense of what’s going to happen grows.

The last few paragraphs of the book are my most favorite though. I won’t say why as I don’t want to ruin anything for someone else.

I can’t wait to start the next book!!

Once again that cliffhanger 😩

No spoilers, but man you’d think the author helped write the Game of Thrones series I swear! Amazing, 10/10 as always

I can honestly say that I am completely hooked.

This new and interesting world has been built and we, as readers, are feeling more comfortable with the magic system. We've met the main characters and we have seen how they have reacted in both good times and bad. We have also been introduced to some pretty awesome secondary characters and it is hard not to totally fall in love with them as well. Top that off with a crazy but suspenseful plot that has drama, action, betrayal, magic and well......love.

Seriously....is that not awesome?

Things have settled down a little in terms of the Boaz. Linus, Grier issue. We get to see that wonderful new relationship develop slowly and delicately. I have to admit, I am completely in love with Linus and I really like Grier and Linus together. It feels like it took long enough....

Things are happening around them as well and several questions are answered in this book - Grier's parentage, her abilities, her awareness of OTHER options.....

Anyway, great addition to the series and it ends in a way that I want to just keep going without stopping.

So, I think I will.....

Loved it! Was a coming of age across multiple levels and still pure fun. The narrator is flawless!
