I needed my tissues for this ending.

Get out your tissues for this emotional roller coaster of an ending. Alexander Cendese does not do a female voice well, but he sounds like my older brothers teasing me, so I don’t let it bother me. I am glad I listened to this series. It is definitely worth picking up if you have an audible escape subscription.

Emotional

An emotional heart-wrenching tale of love and loss that had me sitting on the edge of my seat. I absolutely lost myself in these characters and these pages. This story was beautiful in the most raw and intense ways. This trilogy was so good, its going to stay on mind for a very long time. Phenomenal!

Don’t miss out!!!

This trilogy, Stone,Cold&Fox was one of my favorite stories ever. I love both narrators who took this story and made it fun and sad and heartfelt. The story line was tragic but showed the strength of the main characters to overcome and thrive.

Fabulous murder mystery!

The plot and characters in this trilogy were fantastic! I enjoyed the narration, it was performed beautifully. But the story really hooks you and keeps you wanting more. And, as promised the first two are cliffhangers, with the last one leaving it all wrapped up. Another favorite for me!

Great ending

Loved how this book gave a happy ending. You are not left guessing what Levi and Ivey’s life was like after filming Cold. How successful and happy they were.

Compelling story

Engaging series… not sure why it was broken into 3 books. Hate to love romance with just enough spice. Narration was good though the male narrators female voices all seemed mocking or as if he were sneering while reading them.

Stone Cold Fox Trilogy by Max Monroe - A Gripping Rollercoaster of Emotions

Summary:
The "Stone Cold Fox Trilogy" by Max Monroe is a compelling series that captivates from the first book, "Stone," through to the third, "Fox." The trilogy follows Ivy, an actress from LA, as she ventures to Montana to prepare for her new role in a movie about a fallen cop, Grace. She meets Levi Fox, Grace's former partner, who is haunted by guilt over Grace's death and initially opposes the film. Despite their rocky start and undeniable sexual tension, the story evolves into a dark and emotional journey filled with suspense, romance, and heartbreak.

Detailed Review:
Skip the detailed review and get the pros and cons if you haven't read yet) ***spoiler alert***

Book 1: Stone ***spoiler alert***
The series kicks off with a classic grumpy-sweet dynamic between Ivy and Levi. Ivy’s sweetness and Levi’s cynicism clash and spark a fiery attraction. Their chemistry is palpable, leading to several heated moments. However, Levi’s guilt over Grace's death causes him to push Ivy away, culminating in a tense confrontation involving Ivy’s twin sister, who complicates their relationship further.

Book 2: Cold ***spoiler alert***
Picking up from the dramatic ending of the first book, Levi begins to realize his feelings for Ivy. Misunderstandings and emotional turmoil drive the narrative, with Ivy's distress exacerbated by her twin's meddling and a dangerous stalker lurking in the shadows. The climax is both thrilling and tragic, as Ivy’s twin sacrifices herself to save Ivy, leaving the reader in shock and setting the stage for the final installment.

Book 3: Fox ***spoiler alert***
The concluding book dives deep into Ivy’s grief and struggle to move on after her twin's death. The emotional weight is heavy, with Ivy discovering she’s pregnant with twins, bringing a bittersweet hope. However, the latter half of the book slows down significantly, focusing excessively on Ivy’s grief and pregnancy. While the depiction of her mourning is heartfelt, it drags the pace, making the narrative feel stagnant at times.

Pros:

Character Development: Ivy and Levi are well-developed, their growth and the evolution of their relationship are engaging and realistic.
Narrative Tension: The plot twists, especially involving the stalker and the tragic death, keep the reader on edge.
Emotional Depth: The portrayal of grief in the third book is poignant and moving.

Cons:

Pacing Issues: The second half of the third book could have been more concise. The extended focus on the grief, while touching, makes the story drag.
Eventless Segments: Some parts of the third book feel repetitive and lack significant events to propel the plot forward.

Narration:
The narrators did an excellent job bringing the characters to life, adding depth to the emotions and tension throughout the trilogy.

Overall:
The "Stone Cold Fox Trilogy" is a dramatic, bittersweet romantic saga with strong character development and gripping twists. Despite some pacing issues in the final book, the series is a worthwhile read for those who enjoy emotional and intense romance novels. Max Monroe delivers a powerful story that keeps you invested until the very end.
