To some, the concept of having faith in a higher power or a set of religious beliefs is nonsensical. Indeed, many view religion in general, and Christianity in particular, as unfounded and unreasonable. Norman Geisler and Frank Turek argue, however, that Christianity is not only more reasonable than all other belief systems, but is indeed more rational than unbelief itself. With conviction and clear thinking, Geisler and Turek guide listeners through some of the traditional, tested arguments for the existence of a creator God.

Story
The “modern Jesus” of progressives—supposedly friendlier and more accepting than the Savior we know from the Gospels—is gaining popularity and acceptance among self-identified Christians. But they don’t realize that progressive Christianity rejects the biblical revelation of Jesus Christ, the Word made flesh. Hijacking Jesus addresses perennial questions about the nature of Christ and his teaching, testing the historical and theological accuracy of progressive Christians.

Story
Christianity could be defined as a “cold case”: it makes a claim about an event from the distant past for which there is little forensic evidence. In Cold-Case Christianity, J. Warner Wallace uses his nationally recognized skills as a homicide detective to look at the evidence and eyewitnesses behind Christian beliefs. Including gripping stories from his career and the visual techniques he developed in the courtroom, Wallace uses illustration to examine the powerful evidence that validates the claims of Christianity.

Christianity is a picture of reality. It explains why the world is the way it is. When the pieces of this puzzle are properly assembled, we see the big picture clearly. Christianity is a true story of how the world began, why the world is the way it is, what role humans play in the drama, and how all the plotlines of the story are resolved in the end. In The Story of Reality, best-selling author and host of Stand to Reason Gregory Koukl explains the five words that form the narrative backbone of the Christian story.

Story
The Problem of God is written by a skeptic who became a Christian and then a pastor, all while exploring answers to the most difficult questions raised against Christianity. Mark grew up in an atheistic home, and after his father's death, began a skeptical search for truth through exploring science, philosophy, and history, asking the big questions of life, and eventually finding answers in Christianity. In a disarming, winsome, and persuasive way, The Problem of God responds to the top 10 questions people raise against God, and Christianity.

Story
In 2010, using a specialized robotic camera, authors Tabor and Jacobovici, working with archaeologists, geologists, and forensic anthropologists, explored a previously unexcavated tomb in Jerusalem from around the time of Jesus. They made a remarkable discovery. The tomb contained several ossuaries, or bone boxes, two of which were carved with an iconic image and a Greek inscription. Taken together, the image and the inscription constitute the earliest archaeological evidence of faith in Jesus’ resurrection.

It's okay to have questions. But you need answers you can trust. How can I know there is a God? How can I know the Bible is true? How can I know there is life after death? How can I know how to forgive someone who has hurt me? You’re not alone in wrestling with doubts and uncertainties: Every one of us - no matter our age - has questions about these real-life concerns. What’s more, many Christians can’t readily explain the reason for their hope, as 1 Peter 3:15 advises. In How Can I Know? Dr. Robert Jeffress tackles the seven most common and consequential of these questions and makes a compelling case for answers you can embrace with confidence.

Story
Since they were first discovered in the caves at Qumran, in 1947, the Dead Sea Scrolls have aroused more fascination - and more controversy - than perhaps any other archaeological find. They appear to have been hidden in the Judean desert by the Essenes, a Jewish sect that existed around the time of Jesus, and they continue to inspire veneration and conspiracy theories to this day. John Collins tells the story of the bitter conflicts that have swirled around the scrolls since their startling discovery, and sheds light on their true significance for Jewish and Christian history.

This explosive work of history unearths clues that finally demonstrate the truth about one of the world's great religions: that it was born out of the conflict between the Romans and messianic Jews who fought a bitter war with each other during the first century. The Romans employed a tactic they routinely used to conquer and absorb other nations: they grafted their imperial rule onto the religion of the conquered.

Story
The Bible is a narrative - the story of God's creation, humankind's fall, and God's plan of redemption. And it is filled with countless smaller stories that teach us about people, history, and the nature of God. It's no surprise that God would choose to reveal himself to us in story - after all, he hardwired us for story. Despite this, we so often attempt to share our faith with others not through story but through systems, arguments, and talking points - methods that appeal only to our mind and neglect our imagination and our emotions.

Very enlightening and faith building!
Came across J Warner Wallace’s material years ago and I’m grateful I did! He has helped me in my walk with Christ by learning how to use my intellect and think about some major objections to Christianity. This book is not just for believers, but also for skeptics as well. I believe Wallace presents a compelling case for the authenticity of the New Testament Gospels being written by eye witnesses, and the impact what that means. This book has helped me reconcile some of my own doubts and questions, specifically reconciling the differences between similar events/stories in the Gospels. The real life stories in the book help engage the reader while giving them context of how to compare the stories to their own faith journey. Highly recommend!

The Resurrection, perfected
J Warner Wallace does not only give you insight on the history of the core doctrine of Christianity (the resurrection), he shares with you the steps and tips to being a great case maker. He teaches you how to be a detective and then takes those skills to the most influential man’s life in history. I usually put sticky notes on pages I want to come back to or take note of… I found myself placing one in every page.

Informative
Educational, informative, and entertaining. Very interesting to see how a detective would look at the evidence if the history of the Gospels were a cold case.

An Amazing Approach to the Bible
I have read the bible for years but until reading Cold Case Christianity (update edition), I never had the tools to defend my faith. The author brings his years of experience as a cold case detective to the life and death of Jesus. He then walks through the evidence, eyewitnesses, and historical documents to really show the truth. I can't wait to read a Person of Interest next.

One of the Best Updates
This has been one of the best updates to a book I have listened to or read. Jim does a great job explaining the the evidence of the faith we mutually hold to. After reading/listening to this book your faith will be strengthened and you will be better equipped to share you faith to the skeptical people in your life.
