Publisher's summary

Fourteen years ago, high school track star Sydney Adams was gunned down in Philadelphia's Fairmount Park. The investigation yielded useless clues, and the case went cold. But homicide detective Augustus Knox never gave up on finding Sydney's killer. Now retired from the police force and with only months to live, he enlists the help of private investigator Jocelyn Rush to clear the case once and for all.

Armed with little more than a theory as to who murdered Sydney, Jocelyn tries to lure a killer into the open. But unraveling the mystery means facing off against a cunning psychopath whose ruthlessness knows no bounds. When more bodies start to pile up, Jocelyn has to decide just how far she's willing to go to catch a cold-blooded killer.

NARRATOR?!

I absolutely love this author. I've listened to just about everything she's written but the narrators?? Where does she find these people. Kind of ruined the whole book.

Ok but needs a better narrator

Narrator was awful. It was like she whispered the whole time. Gave me a headache

Bad narration

All other books in the series were narrated by one person, and he did great. I was very surprised when I started this last book in the series and it was a different narrator. And then I was even more disappointed because of how bad she was. The entire book was read in a whispery, breathy, bad voice. I really wanted to just stop, but I didn’t have time to purchase the book and read it, so I pushed through.

Narrator Nightmare!!!

I am a huge fan of Lisa Regan's stories, but I had to force myself to listen to this narrator's annoying monotone voice for 10 hours. I hope she writes more Jocelyn Rush stories- I really like her Josie Quinn series also. Just PLEASE don't use Laura Jennings as the narrator ever again!

Honoring a dying man’s last wish

For Philadelphia detective turned private investigator, Jocelyn Thomas, is hired by a retired homicide detective, Augustus Knox. Knox has a few months to live and his dying wish is to close an unsolved case that has plagued him for almost 2 decades...the murder of a promising hs teenager, Sydney Adams. Knox believes that her high school track coach is guilty and some newly discovered photos strengthens his belief. Now Jocelyn is racing against time to find justice for Sydney. Sex, lies, manipulation are just a fraction of what Joc discovers. This 2nd book in the series is more enjoyable than the first and the narration is stellar! Looking forward to more.
