Story
Before the lights went out, Jack Warrant never considered himself a prepper. That was someone on the edge, a conspiracy theorist or a doomsday cultist who had a fatalistic view of the world. He was neither a theorist nor a cultist. He was an optimist. At least that was what he told himself when the darker thoughts creeped into his psyche as he stared at the ceiling in the middle of the night. Whenever he started down the rabbit hole, he always clawed his way back into the sunlight.

Story
Mason Lot is in-house counsel for Poseidon, a major Wall Street firm that serves as a front company for the National Security State. His job pays well and gives him insight into the corrupt shadow government, but it can't help with his problems at home. Mason assumed that the hefty price tag for his daughter’s private school would buy him a pass from the insanity plaguing New York’s public school system. Nevertheless, indoctrinated by propaganda, Wynter wants to transition into being a boy. When Mason refuses to pay for the procedure, Wynter turns to the state for help.

Normalcy ceased to exist in the United States the instant the Iranian EMP warheads detonated, relieving America of its abundant luxuries and conveniences. The event pushed the entire country backward in a millisecond. Backward in time to the mid-1800s—to a lifestyle that preceded the telephone and, for most, even the use of a simple lightbulb.

Story
By 2038, the apocalypse had been years in the making. The only question was—would it be caused by a financial collapse, a nuclear war, or a bio-weapon. No one thought the end of the United States would result from all three. Walt knew things were bad, but like most Americans, he felt the government would muddle through and keep its citizens safe. He was wrong. Too many politicians worked hard to line their pockets while not ensuring America would stay strong and survive. Walt and his loved ones have to face the apocalypse and the ramifications of life AFTER AMERICA no longer exists.

Several years ago, an ARkStorm, a once-in-a-thousand-years flood event caused by a series of intense atmospheric rivers, flooded the Central Valley of California from Sacramento to what was once Los Angeles. The weight of the water was equivalent to the volume generated by the Mississippi River times 22. It challenged an already fragile seismic system consisting of hundreds of active faults.

By: Todd Knight
Publisher's summary
America was on the brink of collapse.
The fabric of society was torn apart.
The economy was in shambles.
Ordinary Americans experienced death by a thousand cuts, and it was coming soon to your neighborhood.
International bestselling author, Bobby Akart, one of America's favorite storytellers, delivers up-all-night thrillers to nearly two million listeners in 245 countries and territories worldwide.
“Akart is one of those very rare authors who makes things so visceral, so real, that you experience what he writes.”
In a once-thriving neighborhood, prosperity and harmony were the norm. Families walked the tree-lined streets, children played in the parks, and a sense of community bound residents together. However, over time, this changed. Political beliefs divided them. Economic collapse struck the nation bringing with it an inevitable and devastating societal collapse.
“You are there. Feeling what they feel. Anger, joy, love, mourning. You feel it all. Not everyone can write a book like this. It takes a special writer to make you feel a book.”
Behind the gates separating the community from the rest of greater Los Angeles, neighbors faced off against one another as resources became scarce. Beyond the gates, ruthless gangs and looters swept across LA like a plague of locusts. Killing and looting replaced the rule of law.
Some held out hope in the government to restore order. Others banded together to prepare for the inevitable. When terror and mayhem came knocking at their doors. Despair and fear cast long shadows over the once-vibrant community. Could the neighbors set aside their differences to ward off the coming storm?
"Akart's fiction becomes reality far too often. Behind the Gates is a cautionary tale of what's to come in our nation."
With seventy novels published worldwide, Bobby Akart delivers intense, up-all-night thrillers that have you whispering "just one more chapter".

Story
In the heart of the South Pacific lies Point Nemo, the most desolate and remote place on Earth. At its core is a dead zone, devoid of life, where government agencies crash their obsolete satellites and space stations, confident they won't harm a soul. When the International Space Station suffers a catastrophic failure and plummets through the atmosphere, it's here that Mission Specialist Julie Rohr, an astrobiologist studying living space dust called xylem, finds herself marooned. Julie's only hope for rescue lies in the hands of her estranged father, Dr. Finn Maddern, a renowned mycologist.

USGS geophysicist, Mac Atwood, and volcanologist, Taylor Reed, survived being swallowed by the Earth during the earthquake swarm.

Story
Akart's standalone novel, ARkStorm, is based on actual events. In 1861, a 43-day series of atmospheric rivers, huge flows of moisture carried from the tropics to the West Coast, turned large swaths of California into an inland sea. The intense rainstorms pounded the state unabated with little respite. Rivers became raging torrents that swept away entire communities, killing thousands. The State’s Central Valley turned a massive body of water 300-miles long and 20-miles wide.

Great Story!
Great Story. Excellent reader. My only complaint is his books are too short. Book 1 and 2 could have been combined. I'm a big fan of TSHTF fiction. Most of them start with "The Big Disaster" in the first few pages. This story unwinds gradually, from realizing things are going to get bad, to preparing and experiencing as it goes from bad to worse to ....... (I'm not there yet). I finished book 1 and 2 in one day. Each book ends with a cliffhanger. By far one of Bobby Akart's best novels. I highly recommend it!

Gripping!!!
Once again, Mr. Akart has delivered a thriller that gets your mind racing about the possibilities. Every one of his books has been amazing. When most people think post-apocalyptic thrillers, they think zombies and mad Max, but every time Mr. Akart puts a book out it is a book that could 100% happen in the near future. Thank you for writing these amazing books and please keep them coming as they are truly thought-provoking.

Love Bobby’s work. There are always the little things that may not be completely accurate due to necessity of remaining vague, but he is one of the most accurate writers of this genre that I know. Keep up the great work Bobby!

Excellent
Not surprising another Akart book is good. Shocked.. not. He has a real skill in making sure that we understand how jacked up our state governments are and how bad our federal government is. If no one is using these novels as a way to identify potential societal dangers in the future, you definitely need to adjust your mindset.
