As a child, she’d stand in front of the mirror, sucking in her stomach and arching her back to feel her ribs, praying to see a model-like figure looking back. Hollywood is where Lauren Burningham, aspiring actress from Utah, fully embraced her alter-ego Lala Kent, entrepreneur, entertainer, and film and television star. From a young age, Andy Cohen knew two things: He was gay, and he loved television. Now presiding over Bravo's reality-TV empire, he started out as an overly talkative pop-culture obsessive, devoted to Charlie's Angels and All My Children - and to his mother, who received daily letters from him while he was at summer camp, usually reminding her to tape the soaps. In retrospect, it's hard to believe that everyone didn't know that Andy was gay; still, he remained in the closet until college. Finally out, he embarked on making a career out of his passion for television.

Tom Felton’s adolescence was anything but ordinary. His early rise to fame in beloved films like The Borrowers catapulted him into the limelight, but nothing could prepare him for what was to come after he landed the iconic role of the Draco Malfoy, the bleached blonde villain of the Harry Potter movies. For the next ten years, he was at the center of a huge pop culture phenomenon and yet, in between filming, he would go back to being a normal teenager trying to fit into a normal school. Speaking with great candor and his signature humor, Tom shares his experience.

Publisher's summary
This witty and engaging collection of essays from the charismatic star of Southern Charm offers rip-roaring stories and tongue-in-cheek advice on everything from relationships to travel to popular culture and beyond. Perfect for fans of authors as wide-ranging as Andy Cohen to Tucker Max.
Shep Rose, star of Southern Charm and owner of Shep Gear, shares this irreverent and relatable collection of lessons and anecdotes about living an untamed, genuine life, raising hell yet having fun along the way. With his signature endearingly snarky voice, he explores topics as varied as the trials and tribulations of being a late bloomer, the ins and outs of ghosting, how to talk about politics without resorting to blows, the dos and don’ts of getting drunk abroad, and much more.
Shep has caroused around the world, from Hong Kong to Dubai to the mean streets of Charleston, and the fact that he hasn’t been the subject of a Locked Up Abroad episode defies all logic. Average Expectations is a chronicle of one lucky SOB and the exploits that got him where he is today, with advice and stories that will help unleash your inner rabble-rouser, inspire you to live an untamed life, and remind you that at the end of the day, life is all about having fun, having a laugh, and, most important of all, being in on the joke.

In the spring of 2006, a new kind of show premiered on Bravo: The Real Housewives of Orange County. Its stars were tanned, taut, and bedazzled; their homes were echoey California villas; and their drama was gossip-fueled, wine-drenched, and absolutely exquisite. Fifteen seasons on, RHOC is an institution, along with The Real Housewives of New York, Atlanta, New Jersey, Miami, Potomac, and more.

All Jackie Goldschneider ever wanted was to be thin. As a child, she’d stand in front of the mirror, sucking in her stomach and arching her back to feel her ribs, praying to see a model-like figure looking back. As an obese teen, lonely and tormented by her weight, her doctor encouraged her to start dieting, ultimately leading to a prolonged battle with anorexia that nearly took her life. After decades of hiding her eating disorder from friends, family, and the world, Jackie is ready to expose the realities of her devastating struggle with anorexia.

Erika Jayne didn't make it this far by holding back. Now, in her first-ever memoir, the fan favorite star of Bravo's The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills bares her heart, mind, and soul. In Pretty Mess, Erika spills on every aspect of her life: from her rise to fame as a daring and fiery pop/dance performer and singer; to her decision to accept a role on reality television; to the ups and downs of family life (including her marriage to famed lawyer Tom Girardi, 33 years her senior). There's much more to Erika Jayne than fans see on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Surprisingly Good
I knew Shep was intelligent, but I always thought (based solely on Southern Charm) that he was too aloof to be likable. That said, I was pleasantly surprised by this book - Shep’s writing is real, down-to-earth, funny, and fully entertaining. I have a new appreciation for you, Shep.

Loved it!
I've been a fan of Shep's (good or bad) since the beginning of "Southern Charm" and this is a perfect example of why! He IS who he IS, is comfortable with it and makes no apologies for it! The book isn't a great work of literature, but it's funny & entertaining...a nice, easy listen that you'll enjoy if you're a "SC"/Shep/reality TV fan!

Great listen.
It is a fantastic audio book. I’m a fan of Shep’s, so finding his book enjoyable - read by him- went along with my expectations. I have recommended it to a few friends. I hope he writes another book. It felt like a really well done and longer than average podcast. Easy listening and kept my interest. Nice job, Shep.

Great entertainment mixed with life lessons
A fun insight on a beloved, creative, out-of-the-box thinker who navigates his way through life by using his charm and wit to be successful without falling into the common 9-5 desk job. He’s had so many different jobs that he figured out how to land the perfect, stress-free lifestyle that suits his personality and defies the teachings of how to be successful by following what is considered to be “normal life”.

Shep being real
I have really liked Shep on Southern Charm but what I really liked about this book was him being real
About his upbringing! He knows and admits he has had privileges that others haven’t but he also tells you about his struggles in life!!
