Meh…?
The story idea is great. Love it… the delivery was just meh. The parts that should have had you excited (such as the demonstrations) were just meh. The plot twists were ok but the female lead is just kinda dumb and super slow on the uptake. And just when it actually started getting interesting it ends on a cliffhanger.
Over all it was just an ok book. Nothing to be super excited over. (Definitely not the super amazing story tiktok has led me to believe.)
Apparently it’s being made into a movie by the producers of Twilight… 😬

Listened Twice
I loved this. I was worried it was overhyped but was so glad to not be disappointed I’ve been following the author on social and she’s been such a breath of fresh air so happy and grateful that we love her characters. I’m proud to be obsessed and counting the minutes till book 2.

Good story but voice acting for the Male characters was rough
I liked the story, plenty of twists and turns and the plot twists twisted even further than I guessed which was cool. Honestly it was really hard to get into story or connect with any of the male main characters because the voice acting for them was so strange. I’m my head when I heard the voice of the supposed love interest I was like oh no that can’t be him his voice is terrible. I would recommend a physical copy for this one.

Why Lightlark is a 4☆ read for me
This book is astounding. The unique quality and set up of such a nostalgic genre was genius. What I needed more of? I need more Banter I need more longing and connection between our 3 main love interest. the triangle didn't triangle in this book but felt more of like a line. However this review does not mean the book was terrible. Some Dialog really got me in this one. And I haven't read Nightbane yet, so I'm going into it with high hopes. Much like OUABH series, im sure the 2nd one is the best 🤍
