Lovely as usual...

I listened to this book the day it was released. I don’t normally write reviews but the over the top negative review below compels me to. If you like Lisa Kleypas books, you will like this one as well. I have read all of Lisa’s historical romances and I’ve enjoyed them all. This one does not differ greatly as the negative review stated. Oh and if you loved The Devil in Winter as I did, you will love all the scenes with Sebastian and Evie. I will also add Mary Jane Wells does an incredible job as always. Lisa and Mary are a wonderful combo. Enjoy

Fantastic Addition to the series

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I love this series and this addition was wonderful! Watching the characters intertwine with the ones from all the previous books I have enjoyed just makes it feel like being amongst family. 

Mary Jane Wells is fantastic at her narrations and seeing her name on this project made it even easier to pre-order this book. 

Merritt and Keir are a perfect match and right away you feel the chemistry between them. There is a decent plot which, even though it was guessable, didn't detract from the enjoyment one bit! I would highly recommend this book and honestly the entire series starting with the original Wallflowers if you're up for the challenge!  

I sincerely hope there are more to come for this series.

A Must for fans of the Ravenells and the Wallflowers!

I have read most of this authors books and am a fan of the Ravenell series. While I have seen some reviews who are unhappy with the use of the Wallflower characters as parents; I LOVE it. Sebastian and Evie were my favorite characters of that series so I will never complain about learning more about them and their family!

I really enjoyed these two main characters and the story. My only complaint is that the ending seemed a little abrupt. Please continue to give me stories of the Duke of Kingston’s children and the Ravenells.

Very enjoyable! More Wallflowers than Ravenels.

Many beloved characters from the Wallflowers appeared in this one, which was very enjoyable. There were a few from The Ravenel's, but not the ones you would expect. It was a really fun read (or listen in my case). There was romance, humor and some mystery too.

I hope we get more books with characters from both the Wallflowers and the Ravenel's. What would be really fun if characters from the Hathways were to be included as well. A romance between one of the Wallflower's children and one of the Hathway's children perhaps?

If you haven't read The Hathway's series I highly recommend it. I recently discovered it, and didn't realize it was a spinoff of the Wallflowers. (It's post Wallflowers and pre Ravenels.) The first book had interactions with the Wallflowers characters. The following didn't, but the Hathway characters were also a lot of fun. So if you need a Wallflower's /Ravenel's world fix it's the series for you.

Love all the family connections!

It’s so enjoyable to get to know the children of our favorite stories come to life and include the parents now grandparents included in these stories. Keep them coming!!

Great story

Great story. Well Worth listening to. Kept my interest the whole time. Lisa does a good job writing stories.

The story was entertaining with both romance and mystery.

I liked the dynamics between the two lead characters. I also enjoyed the mystery plot of someone out to murder him & the strong woman lead who was daring and willing to go to lengths to protect him.

Lisa Kleypas and Mary Jane Wells are wonderful!

The team of Kleypas and Wells never disappoints. I love the writing and humor in this series and Mary Jane Wells brings the characters to life like no other historical romance narrator, at least for me. She does the voices of both women and men very effectively, in a huge array of accents, and her performance never fails to draw me deeper into the story. I loved both the main characters in this story and the clever connections between characters from earlier books. This was a solid thumbs up with all the stars.

Didn't want the book to end!!!

I loved this book enough to write a review for the first time. I acctually did not want the book to end. I totally enjoyed the characters and bring back some of the favorites from the Wallflower series. aka Sabastian!!

Love it

Such a sweeping romance novel! It includes many of her previously adored characters. I just loved it!
