Coming of age story pre and post ww2 from UK point of view with memorable characters.

A young girls triumph

I was in aw over Judith, the main character, her personality, empathy and enthusiasm for life. I enjoyed the woman’s perspective and how the story moved along as her life evolved. The historical nature was interesting and what it must have been like living during the Second World War #Audible1

Coming Home is a wonderful book.

This book takes one through WW II and highlights the devastation of people. I wish citizens of the world could
require all leaders to settle disputes with diplomacy and never allow countries to invade another and destroy lives and ways of life. That’s my fantasy.

Epic, Fun, Sweet Satisfying

Don’t be daunted by the length. This wonderfully narrated epic tale of love is quite enjoyable. Don’t miss it.

Better than expected.

I have to admit that I wasn't sure I would like this book. In fact , the way it was going in the beginning, I thought I would return it. Glad I stuck it out and wish it was a series. Moving on to another from this author.

Totally engrossing and captivating

I have been an avid reader since childhood and have been listening to several books per week with Audible since 2012. I can honestly say this is in my top 5 favorites ever. Since I detest long reviews, here it is. Read this book, I promise you will love it! The narrator is very talented and a pleasure to listen to. The writing is spectacular. Enjoy!

Beautifully written and read

The story was compelling with moments of joy and sadness. The details were not tedious but beautiful and often soothing.

Simply amazing

There eased ship much detail you could really see the setting and you grew and felt emotional right along side the characters.

Didn't want it to end!
