Riveting!
Just as tantalizing and amazing as “The last green valley” and “beneath a scarlet sky” this book glued me to my device for days. I could not stop telling my husband about every detail as I listened. The narrator has an amazing range of accents and pronunciation, spot on! The story gets better on every page. I’m not much of a student of recent events, as I prefer more distant events for study but Sullivan’s ability to tell the story makes any story memorable. Absolutely brilliant!

Good Humans
This was an incredible story of resilience, survival, strength, courage, hope and love in the face of evil.
While not always easy to listen to, the story will stay with me for a long time. I can’t imagine being in Florence or Anthony’s shoes, but thankful to enter their lives for a while. They are “good humans.”

Love, Gratitude, and Forgiveness = Good Humans
Very few books leave me utterly speechless. This is one of those books. What Anthony, Florence, and all the other child soldiers went through is absolutely shattering. And yet they gleaned what good they could and overcame their trauma by forgiving the depraved maniac Joseph Kony. Thank you, Mark Sullivan, for bringing the horrific issue of child soldiers to light. I will be donating to EndChildSoldiering.com and giving this book to many of my friends and relatives.

An incredible true story!
It was beautifully written. The strength of the young people and then their ability to forgive is remarkable! I knew so little of what these kids that have been kidnapped for war go through. Very much worth listening to!
