highly engaging, with meaningful confections to the source material. I'm breathlessly awaiting the followup.

meh start amazing mid to ending

the beginning had me rolling my eyes a few times but the ending was way worth it

Exciting

I’m a big fan of the Alien series. This was a very well written and performed book. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

If the listener enjoyed the book. It didn’t show

I’m a big fan of aliens, the whole alien franchise in general, and i really liked the new expansion this book offered, with references to the new lore and current setting in the universe with the UPP and Combine being present. The WY commandos got some mention to in what to me was a cool introductory battle in Zero Gravity!!


However, it’s almost to an ridiculous amount of time that the writer uses the sentence:
(or slight variations of it) “if XX was afraid of having a gun in the face, it didn’t show”

I believe this type of sentences gets used around at least 10 times, without counting, and despite all the positives I had with this book and story, this honestly pulled me out of the immersion as it almost became a mantra for each character and sub story.

Worth the credit if you’re an aliens fan and want some more Bishop knife tricks!

another great alien novel for the collection

I've listened to all the alien audio books that has been made. this is another awesome addition to that collection. I love how they brought Bishop back and pray they make many more novels with him in it. well done.

Could have been better...

The only interesting aspects of the book were Bishop and Michael otherwise I really could have cared less about all the UPP and colonial Marines stuff and that is what really irked me. I didn't care about the main Australian chick nor did I care about the Chinese chick nor did I care about the Vietnamese Chick... I feel like they're trying to say something with all these tough women. typically the colonial Marines are one of the best aspects to these books and yet I found myself not really caring at all whether they lived or died.

One of the best Alien books! Great narrations. Looking forward to the become in the future.

A great continuance that makes Alien 3 worth it.

I'm a writer myself who would one day love to add to the universe of Aliens. I just don't think I could accomplish that feat as well as T.R. Napper did. wow! It was like watching the sequel I always wanted, but instead of that flick being on the screen, it was put in visual via being slapped into paperback and audiobook instead.

Bishop felt like Bishop as well and ... the ending was something else. You took that piece of slag story with a bitter ending and brought light onto the universe, even if it was just a little.

I can't say much more because I don't want to spoil a thing. If you're an Aliens fan, READ THIS BOOK!

Great Aliens spinoff

This was a great story. I hope they make more about Bishop. This book would be a great movie!

Redeeming Alien 3

I first bought this audiobook thinking and hoping that it was the sequel to William Gibson's version of Alien III (his version was way better than what made it to theaters, I recommend you check it out here on Audible), unfortunately, I was wrong. However, this story gives the trainwreck that became "Alien 3" (1992), redeeming value. Mostly because it's Military Sci-fi, the stuff that made Aliens a cult favorite and what would have made Alien III the better movie. T.R. Napper took the Colonial Marines and blessed us with more time with them. While I'm not completely disappointed that this isn't the sequel, to the better sequel to Aliens, I'm still lessening to the end. It's that good.

P.S. T.R. Napper, if you read this, please do a sequel to Alien III. I wanna know what happens after everyone makes it back to the freighter "Kansas City".
