Wonderful! Feel Paris and youth!

This book lets you feel Paris even if you have not been there. It feels like youth and is a reminder of the potential we all felt and wish we had. Beautiful.

Not To Be Missed

A Moveable Feast is a poignant memoir written at the end of Hemingway's life, in which he remembers his first wife, and the innocent years of their marriage, with a fine wistfulness. His anecdotes profiling the famous artists and writers are written with his hallmark spareness which, even so, is imbued with wit and humor made all the more delightful for its brevity - conveying so much with so little. A key component to enjoying this audible book is the narrator. James Naughton is simply outstanding. His pace is relaxed, and the inflections and rhythms of his voice bring the words to life. He so perfectly interprets the author's words and purpose that - truly - one can believe they are listening to Hemingway himself. A book and a listening experience not to be missed.

How had I not read it before? A true glimpse into the life and struggles of expatriots in Paris during the artistic early 20s.

Hemingway at his best

This is my favorite book of his short stories. It is introspective but also light in a way done darker telling of this iconic author are not.

Lusciously Transported to Paris

A short Hemingway novel told in episodic splendor. I was lusciously transported to 1920's Paris. His stories with Gertrude Stein were an eye-opener to her life as were the ones with F. Scott Fitzgerald. It was fun watching him dodge their neurosis. I didn't want this novel to end. The reader was just serviceable. He sometimes sounded too dear to read Hem.

Perfect story for a commute- enjoyed in stages while driving to- from work. First try at an audible book and made th commute go faster

View of a different time

I enjoyed listening to this snippet of his life his own words. It was an important time in a beloved place. His story is larger than life in many accounts, but this is a simple, spare story which invites further exploration of the characters in it.

Poor And Happy

Delightful remembrance of Paris in the 20s. The cast of this include Pound, Fitzgerald, Stein, etc. Posthumously published Mary Hemingway! Wonderful title for scholars and general readers.

One could never go wrong with Hemingway. One would be amiss to skip this book. Excellent!
