Fantastic story

picked it up and couldn't put it down. gripping from start to finish with wonderful world building. now begins the wait for #2

Great storyline

Really enjoyed I hope more people give it a listen I need the story to progress!

What a fun world

Was not expecting the "depth" this story had and was pleasantly surprised. Does a great job with painting vivid images of the fights. and the Narrator is fantastic.

Amazing world building, slow start.

12 Miles Below has some amazing worldbuilding and ideas. The only thing I really knock it for is a slower start and a slow burn to the "progression" part of the book.

hidden gem

if you are hesitating on whether to spend your credit on this book, my advice is to get it.

the plot is good with good character and world building.
the book will feel like alot has happened but it feels like there is so much more to tell. The narrator did a splendid job as well to bring all the different characters to live. one of the better ones I've heard.

in short, this book feels like a 14hr prolouge to a long and great story. and after listening to it, it left me wanting more.

Interesting & Unique Start

I really enjoyed this first book. I've listened to a lot of progression fantasy stories in the last few years and honestly, most aren't that interesting or entertaining. This story is both of those things and seems like it has space to grow.

Fantastic top tier

Fantastic did a great job of world, building slowly but surely adding tension and depth to the power system. Main characters is well balanced, and intuitive. 10 of 10.

Heart racing adrenaline

There was not a moment of slowness in the entire story. It refuses to take its foot off the gas until the very end.

Peak fiction, don't miss out.

I've been following this story for a while on royal road, I was pleasantly surprised when the author announced the release of his first book, I immediately bought this without a second thought and look forward to the next installments.

I didn't like the narrator very much because of inconsistent pronunciation and some characters voices don't fit the ones I constructed in my mind. Atius voice matches his actual age ~300 years but not his biological age so he sounds like an old man when he should sound like a middle aged man since he is immortal. But he nailed the main character's voice and handles female voices better than most. The story itself carries any flaws in the audio production.

This book is only the start of an amazing story that I look forward to reading every update. The author has made something special here and doesn't overly rely on handwaving how everything works with the occult (the magic system). As of this review there are 4 completed books of similar length and up to chapter 19 of book 5 available on royal road. Mark is a genius that deserves your money and attention.

Great story!

A wwll written unique story with dynamic characters. I'm very much looking forward to more books in this series! Perfomer did a great job with it and I hope is used in sequels.
