Love me a good Jesse story

Love Jesse and Ava. They are over the top crazy in love and Jesse has some monumental baggage. Their story is a crazily emotional, tortuous and toxic journey to a better place…together. So much healing to be done. So many trust issues. But together their love blossoms and hurdles become less obstructive to a healthier, happier relationship. Personal growth and acceptance.

There aren't enough words in the English language to describe this story! Absolutely loved hearing Jesse & Ava's love story from Jesse's POV. I actually find Jesse's POV so much more interesting than from Ava's. I loved listening to the story from her POV, but with Jesse, my heart just breaks for him. His back story is interesting, heart breaking and you can feel how much he loves Ava & wants a normal happy life with her. He just needs to face his demons and overcome them and Ava gives him the strength to do that. JEM is one of my very favorite authors and I have listened to all of her books, but the This Man series is by far my very very favorite. And who doesn't love hearing Shane as the voice of Jesse! I highly recommend to anyone to read this series & fall in love with The Lord of the Manor! Can't wait for the next book. Amazing.....who has the power?????

I think the gap has made this better.

Listening to this has led a whole new dimension to this love story. I think the gap in time has made this better. It prompted me to go back and read the story from Ava's point of view again.

Another Eoic performance from Shane. I love these series of Jessie and Ava. The characters are all fantastic. JEM is one it my favorite authors. I own most of her books and audios. She is an automatic click. I’m looking forward to the Sarah debacle in book 3. Jessie and Ava were meant to be with their toxic crazy life. Thank you for another 5star listen♥️

Absolutely Fabulous!

This wasn’t just a retelling from Jesse’s POV. It had so much more insight into Jesse and Ava’s story. If you’re a fan of this series this is a must read! JEM did it again!

Ohhhh may Lord!!!

Shane has done it again!!!! Wow, he is just so amazing. He makes the story come to life. I read the books but in audiobook and Shane East’s voice… swoon 😍…..I can’t wait for the next book.

Absolutely love love love this book. I read the book when it came out but had to get the audio book as well. This was done so well. Narrator was amazing. Well done.

I love Ava and Jesse's story so of course I love his POV. Jodi

Jesse doesn’t disappoint

Once again Jodi has outdone herself with the storyline of With This Woman. Yes, we all know it had been told from Ava’s POV in Beneath This Man but, I can tell you that there is so much more to this story from his POV. The complexity, and intricacies that are Jesse Ward have left my mind blown. Honestly, it was genius. I can only imagine how hard it was for JEM to write it because this one was a rough one.
From the beginning, we see the roller coaster that is Jesse. He is super raw, and vulnerable. He’s complex, unhinged, all consuming, all encompassing but also struggling with his demons, and the ghosts he runs from. He’s so broken, the pain emanates off the pages and it’s gut wrenching. We see flashbacks and interactions with his loved ones from his past, and some not so loved ones. Some of the truths we learned, wow! The truth and heartbreaking past make him want to protect his future. Making him closed off, and not being his true authentic self with Ava. We continue to see Jesse’s struggles with addiction and co-dependency. But, we also see him trying to be a better man, and his road to redemption. Loved that we got see see more of his relationships with Kathy, John, Drew and Sam. I can’t say that I was his number one fan in this book and much as the first. Ava always seems like the triggering one, but he took the cake in this one. I also give Ava alot of credit. It takes a strong woman to be with a man like Jesse Ward. I see that more so now than in the previous books. Of course, JEM doesn’t leave out the sassiness, the spice or the angst in this one. I will say, I read and listened to the audiobook. Shane East doesn’t disappoint, his devotion to this character came through so hard. Especially in the last 10-12 percent of the book. CP 46-47 were rough to listen to. At the same token I couldn’t stopped getting trampled by Shane, JEM and Jesse MF Ward. Amazing read and listen. Can’t wait to read and listen to This Woman Forever, book 3 in the series. Expected release date 5/14/2024.
