Story
The Priory may look ramshackle in appearance, but Peter, Margaret and Celia are totally charmed by their newly inherited country house. But there's more to The Priory than meets the eye. Left empty for years, hardly a single person has set foot inside, and down in the village, the locals whisper of a ghostly figure that roams the halls. When a murder is committed, the new owners start to fear the rumours are true - but is their new home really haunted, or is someone trying to scare them away?

Publisher's summary
The new Rivers of London novella, from Sunday Times number one best-selling author Ben Aaronovitch.
Ghost hunter, fox whisperer, troublemaker.
It is the summer of 2013, and Abigail Kamara has been left to her own devices. This might, by those who know her, be considered a mistake. While her cousin, police constable and apprentice wizard Peter Grant, is off in the sticks, chasing unicorns, Abigail is chasing her own mystery. Teenagers around Hampstead Heath have been going missing but before the police can get fully engaged, the teens return home - unharmed but vague about where they've been.
Aided only by her new friend Simon, her knowledge that magic is real, and a posse of talking foxes that think they're spies, Abigail must venture into the wilds of Hampstead to discover who is luring the teenagers and more importantly - why?

Loved this little RoL novella
Loved this little RoL novella from Abigails point of view. Unusually clear Pratchett references like Gaspode and her reading a TP book.

Just perfect
A brilliant spin-off for the RoL series. Compact narrative well introducing incomprehensible teenage jargon. Read by the obviously talented Shvorne Marks. I’m hoping to read more about Abigails adventures.

Brilliant
Just what we needed. Peter’s precocious cousin in her own adventure. Abigail is plucky, snarky, resourceful and brilliant, the narration brings the characters to vibrant life.
Sorry Ben, I may want more Abigail more than I want more Peter!

I really love this book. Don’t compare it to the Peter books. It stands on its own

I was wary but loved it
Of course it’s not about Peter and it’s not read by Kobna And I didn’t want anything different because I love them so much. But wow I was not disappointed at all, I love this too, I hope there’s plenty more
