Jon is a shepherd boy in the kingdom of Tarakana. He is to protect his father's sheep from wolves, and even from bears, but nothing bigger! Jon can run fast, and that is exactly what he planned to do if a dragon ever got close to him and the sheep. But one day, a dragon and a wounded boy crossed his path, and his life changed forever.
Jon's adventure with the beast in this book launches him into the service of King Charles. His whole life is transformed as his work for the king puts him up against one monster after another....
But let's not get ahead of ourselves. Squire Jon and the Dragons is just the first adventure in a series of books about Jon, a hard working farm boy who became a dragon slayer.
