That there are Americans like Shannon gives me faith in the future of this nation and this world.

If you finish this book with dry eyes, you weren’t paying attention to Shannon’s story.

Her actions always spoke louder than her words which means everything she did in the time she was here will last forever. I do not have words for this. I'm blown away I did not know about her until now. Thank you Joe Kent for bringing her story to the public.

Joe & Marty, thank you for sharing Shannon’s story with us. It was incredibly moving. After listening to the book I feel like I know her just a little bit and that makes her loss all the harder. I can’t even imagine what it’s like for you, her boys or her friends and family. She was a truly incredible woman and I can only hope her story is shared far and wide. American Hero

Loved the story line and the way it was written and laid out, minus the ending of course in that we as a nation lost an American hero in Shannon Kent and her team on that dreadful day. Thanks for sharing this story.

Started it and didn’t stop listening until the end. Can’t wait for the movie to come out.

Good story, odd reader

Great story of an amazing warrior scholar. The reader pauses at very odd times; frequently mid sentence, commonly between phrases that should flow continuously, and he is often monotone. As a result, the narration feels forced and is less pleasant to listen to than other audio books.

A beautiful tribute

Hearing the life of Shannon Kent was a privilege that outlined just how amazing a human can be. Shannon's selfless service is a lesson that all can benefit from and this book should be on everyone's reading list.

A Hero's Story To Inspire All

I've known of Shannon and pieces of her story since her ultimate sacrifice, and she has been my personal hero since the day I heard her story. It is phenomenal to hear more about her and understand more about what she has done for all of us. Her loved ones are in my prayers and I am so greatful that Joe decided to share her story with all of us. What a beautiful testiment of her life well lived. Cheers to Shannie.
