Founder of the largest indigenous Christian church in American history, Joseph Smith published the 584-page Book of Mormon when he was 23 and went on to organize a church, found cities, and attract thousands of followers before his violent death at age 38. The Kolob Theorem written by Professor Lynn M. Hilton allows us to see more clearly the celestial home we lived in before we were born and the home we will live in after we die. These places appear more real; they are made of matter, some of very fine and pure matter, and exist in time and space. Lynn, as a man of faith, unites in a single theory, scientific evidence and sources from the standard works of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to account for the form and structure of all of God’s worlds, planets, and suns.

Doubt as to moral and spiritual truth is distilled through a score of channels. Our seats of learning are hotbeds of agnosticism. Our literature, with rare exceptions, makes light of God and jokes about sacred things. The newspapers, the radio broadcasts, public utterances, and private conversations are steadily but surely removing the foundations of righteousness and destroying what little faith in spiritual things still remain.

Have you noticed that President Russell M. Nelson keeps reminding us that the modern temple endowment has “ancient” roots? If you do not know what this means—if you do not have a solid understanding of what was done in the temples of ancient Israel—then you are missing many of the most basic and important aspects of your temple experience. Unfortunately, it is very common for someone to enter the temple for the first time with little to no understanding of what to expect.

Story
Founder of the largest indigenous Christian church in American history, Joseph Smith published the 584-page Book of Mormon when he was 23 and went on to organize a church, found cities, and attract thousands of followers before his violent death at age 38. Richard Bushman, an esteemed cultural historian and a practicing Mormon, moves beyond the popular stereotype of Smith as a colorful fraud to explore his personality, his relationships with others, and how he received revelations.

Story
Parley P. Pratt wrote A Voice of Warning over a two-month period while on a mission to New York. The economy in Kirtland was collapsing, and dissension was rife among Church members. Even Parley became caught up in the dissension and was for a time estranged to Joseph Smith. In an act of renewal, Parley went to New York to preach the gospel and purify himself. With few doors open to him, Parley focused himself on writing, producing A Voice of Warning.

Story
Joseph Smith taught that knowledge is the power of salvation. With that in mind, one might wonder: What was the purpose for introducing temple ordinances to the Church? Are they simply arcane rituals to be memorized? Do they have some inherent magic necessary for redemption? Or are they rather intended to help the Saints gain knowledge, particularly knowledge which saves? And if imparting knowledge is their purpose, then what is the Lord trying to teach us? Once we have received the ordinances is that enough or is more required to complete our endowment?

Story
Prepare not only to go to the temple but to be in it as well. Temples are filled with ancient symbols that point directly to the Atonement. These symbols are all around - in scriptures, cultural motifs, and architectural details. C. Robert Line, doctor in sociology of religion, offers help to those wanting to make sense of certain aspects of the temple and the endowment. By showing how these symbols all point back to Christ’s Atonement, he aims to enrich and enliven the worship experience that church members can and should expect when they attend the house of the Lord.

Human Narrator or AI?!!!
This is a very powerful and important work by one of the greatest men in the history; a man who, I believe, knew more about the Plan of Salvation and the Heavens than any other man to ever walk this Earth, excepting only Jesus Christ Himself. I strongly encourage the reading of this book. It deserves 5*s.
That being said, the narrator is so monotone that he sounds like a low grade computer voice. It is the worst narration I have heard from any other reader since becoming a member of Audible & whoever cast this reader should be fired. I don't expect Will Wheaton or Tim Curry to narrate every book, but this reader's monotone and amateurish narration offends my ears. It is for this reason that I give it 4* (the book deserves 10* and the reader deserves -3*). I am grading not only the book but the narration as well, in other words the Audible version of this book. I will avoid all audio books with this reader.
Read the book! Avoid the audio version with this reader! Unless you have insomnia and want a sleep aid.

Excellent content, tried to like narrator
The content is amazing, and worth the listen. That being said, it is one of the most difficult narrations I have listened to! I have purchased books before because people were being overly critical of the narrator. I tried everything I could think of to like this one. It took so much effort to understand the words that it was difficult to absorb their meaning. At At least it was tone and not attitude. He can get some inflection in his voice and still learn to be a good narrator.
