With this book, I was happy to be stuck in traffic
I loved this book! Interesting plot twists, strong characters, and amazing narrators. While listening, I had so many thoughts in my head about what could have happened and they were changing all the time, so the book kept me intrigued and feeling excited for all 10 hours.

Intricately layered mystery with great characters
In Her Skin is a stunning debut novel that employs a shrewd narrative structure to reveal a compelling mystery and leave you guessing until the very last chapters. The point-of-view of each chapter rotates among three female protagonists- each written with complexity and compassion- at different points in the story. As a result, the story maintains a strong pace, with action always rising and new questions emerging across at least one of the strands. The author clearly knows each character and their crafts- acting, writing, and investigating- and writes about them in depth and detail. In particular, I enjoyed the rich depiction of detective work- I felt like I was riding along with the two detectives. Great listen with amazing performances by each of the actors!

Can't wait to read another by this author!!!
I loved this book so so much! The writing style was sophisticated and filled with amazing imagery. I can't pick a favorite character because all of them were interesting, unique, and an intricate part of the story in their own way. Having the three main characters' perspectives telling their side of the story was genius and the narrators picked for each were perfect. The story kept me guessing and anxious to know the ending the whole time, but I also didn't want it to end! An incredible piece of writing. I can't wait to read another book by this author!

Captivating writing and narrators!!
It’s rare I finish an audio book, but I stuck with this one until the very end! An interesting plot, easy enough to follow along, (since audio books often require time gaps of listening) and unique descriptive writing made this a great listen!! I hope the author does more soon!
