Went from Good to Great reading

I really enjoyed this. There's lot of great insights to help me get to grips with our company's growth.

ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!

If you want an insight into life, yourself, business and what is really real then you need to probably study this book backwards, my gosh what an insightful and rerefreahing reflection....... I'm glad we eventually have empirical evidence of hiw easy it is to be led by ego rather than the simple truth... thank you so much for this!!!!!!

Buy the book, skip the audio!

I love Jim Collins' books, read them all and give Good to Great to my small business consulting clients ... so I purchased the Audible version looking forward to an easy listen while meditating on the concepts (something I like to do with books I study). Collins' explosive style of speaking is jarring to say the least. It's like listening to a ten-hour keynote address!

The best explanation why love is the answer

This has been one of my top 5 book for over a decade. This reading is great with helpful assides.

Great book, not just for business but a lot of the concepts extend to life in general.

Great Business Book

Recommended by a successful CEO, now I know why. Very insightful book with several key topics. Summary would not do it justice and would highly recommend to anyone and everyone. The fact that it is ready by Jim Collins gives the book alot of depth that is highly appreciated. 5 out of 5 for sure.

good summary of good concepts I felt like I knew

writing this review 2 weeks after I finished listening to this, and trying to remember what still comes to my mind - it comes one after another actually.

It appears those people who succeeded in being great don't consider themselves as great and always (don't remember if the books said 100%) stay humble. Would be interesting if the author can speak about this phenomenon and compare with Dunning–Kruger effect. - Level 5 leadershio

Getting the great/or right people on the bus, regardless of their position/job title also rings a bell - I think its the same in life as well and people (especially adults) don't usually change so it imperative to find employees with initiatives and fit with the enterprise's value.

discipline - to stick to what is right and not go into others things with trying enough and just follows others

technology's role is also something resonates a lot - technology itself is not the key, how we apply technology is.

also, confront the brutal facts and hedgehoge concepts are also great points, worth reviewing from time to time!

Research is key

I find myself often giving out 5 stars to books who do an overwhelming amount of research, perhaps this is one the traits that make a book great ;D

Gold standard for business.

Having built a great business, I began to feel a little lost and no longer had some of the initial vision I had building my business. This book has reminded me of the steps I took initially and has oriented me back on the path to greatness.
