Good evolving story

This is a good second book in this series. You continue to learn more about the characters we've already met and introduce a new one. We also learn more about the waifs and what they are capable of, what they might be. There are some exciting close calls as well as a few sad scenes. Definitely started the next book immediately.

Excellent short story

The author of this series did a fantastic job in writing them. Scary but with glimpses of humanity at its best and the narrator is perfect.

more snow, more wraiths & dwindling supplies!

Our story continues! Grady & Elenore get closer, They find a puppy that brings Mikie out of his depression and Grady decides to go into town to raid the grocery store. Luckily El & Stone come looking for him. In this book the wraiths get bolder and our heros are running out of supplies. They need to move on and have to devise a plan. It's still snowing and the sun still only comes out for a few minutes each day! The wraiths take on the forms of giant terrifying animals/monsters in this one. I'm eagerly awaiting book 3. If you love post apocalyptic books with a touch of supernatural / horror / monsters don't hesitate to get this one. You'll love it!

Story telling

This book is great! The story is creative and captivating and the author does a great job of weaving the backstory in without a lot of time. I didn’t feel like anything was missing.

Good series and story but...

Good series and story. My only complaint is I have to spend several credits on what should not be a series of 3-4 books but 1 book. Each book is 4ish hours long and after the normal beginning introductions, is really only about 2 hours and covers 1 event. Other than that, I'm all in. The author does a good job of writing well fleshed out characters. The situational framework is unique and the style is easy to read/listen to. Two thumbs up.

Quick read and interesting

The story has really held my attention. The books go by fast, i enjoy the detail and the slight creepiness.

I tried...

The 1st book was free (and worth every penny). I noticed that all of the books were rather short and was in the mood for something new! I'm stopping with about 2hrs left in Book 2. The narrator is really good, but the story just doesn't move along. The characters are cool, and easy to follow but the story just goes nowhere. Maybe when I'm in the mood for a comedy disguised as something more sinister....(who am I kidding).

Hard to read

The concept of this series is interesting and creative, but where the plot exceeds the characters lacks. They are a mix of over used stereotypes. The main character acts as if he's the only man to ever have emotions. The best friend is a poor attempt of comedic relief. The romantic interest was bearable in the first book, but in this one lacked any semblance if independence. She would make "strong" decisions, but in an attempt to portray her opening up the book made her seem incompetent and whiny. The dull nature of their descriptions ruined the suspense of the book.
