To good to put away!
Every chapter made me hang on the end of my chair. The description was perfect and it made me feel like I was there in the room every time. Plus the relationship between Lockwood and Lucy makes me melt.

Great Story with good pacing
I really enjoyed the character interactions, the adventure, and the humor which was mostly character-driven. I think this may have been one of the best of the series. The pacing was also very good. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

Questions answered, questions raised
Jonathan Stroud is a magical storyteller. I rate his books right up there with Neil Gaiman. This book explains some aspects of the “Lockwood Universe” while providing clues to what comes in the next book. Emily Bevan does a wonderful job narrating and seems to strike the right note with all the Characters.
I am listening again and enjoying the book even more
