Well, because we both need something from each other. Namely, I want the farm land he currently owns, and he needs a wife in order to inherit his family cabin in his grandfather’s will. Not your usual first meeting
I enjoyed this short story, which felt like a section of a larger story. I felt like something was missing, perhaps more character development to get into the story. Overall, it was a good read.

Super cute!

Heavy claustrophobia content
I did enjoy this sweet little meet cute. I do not usually have any claustrophobia, but it is so heavy in this story, that it still made me very uncomfortable. I do love banter, and there is a lot of good banter in this book. The meet-cute is improbable, in keeping with the parameters of the collection. Beyond that, I did find several key plot elements to be completely unbelievable. The narrator’s performance was excellent. The narrator and the banter bring this up to 3.25 stars for me. Not quite enough to round up to 4.
