It was okay.

I think I may be the only one that had to trudge through the book. I loved Mary so I was so excited for this book. However, it just didn't do it for me. I didn't find it scary or interesting. It was predictable. Sorry Nat. Loved your first book but this one was just a meh for me.

Not Bad

Overall I enjoyed this. I will say the main characters annoyed me a lot of the time but the story was well written

a great new horror adventure

I loved this book. I don't want to give away too much of the story, but stay with the book and finish it. I loved how it dealt with intrusive thoughts and new motherhood issues in such a realistic way plus the horror add in.

What’s horrific depends on the reader

I think people expected this to be in your face horror. But it’s the kind of horror that creeps into the recesses of your mind. The terror of this tale will truly depend on the readers own experiences and I really enjoyed the different paths Cassidy gave us to explore.

Eh, guess I’m hard to impress

It’s definitely not the horror book of the year. It’s rosemary’s baby meets AHS Hotel. Not really original. Kinda predictable. Not horrible though. It held my interest. In all honesty save your credit for something better.

Well written

Narration for Ana’s voice was not my cup of tea. Otherwise well done. The story line kept my attention. Descriptive!

1st 5-star of the year for me

Nat Cassidy is definitely an auto-buy author for me now. This and Mary are both favorites! Can't wait for his 2024 release.

A unsettling and refreshing take on the Vampire

This is a captivating and emotional story over the trials of motherhood, the monstrous form of parental gaslighting and at its heart a character(s) that feel genuine.

One of my favorite new authors

An entertaining, unsettling and weirdly relatable horror novel. Full of creepy crawlies and real-world struggles. There were a few loose ends, but whose life doesn't have those? Loved it.

The ending.

It was good overall. The narrator was good but not as good as Cassidy’s last narrator.
The beginning was a bit slow but still good. The last third of the book is where it takes off. So be patient and keep going.
