Not always comfortable, but couldn’t look away. Insightful with words used like paint. Author does interesting narration.

This book was exactly what I needed and I’m so thankful for Miranda July for giving it to us. Now I have to go find a picture of the cliff-graph!

Psychological, surreal and sublime

Miranda July’s prose are like surreal psychological poetry, She has a gift for elevating mundane details into sublime unsettling beauty.

riveting, bizarre and poignant

This is yet another incredible work by Miranda July. Unlike anything else that you will ever read, hearing her describe Life and thoughts and experiences as if you were an alien who just arrived and are taking note. spectacular and disorienting the way only a special novel can pluck you right out of reality.
Highly recommend.

Rich language, openess, mid life stage

Direct unabridged language and thought. Magical setting and connected story. The author sends us to the hearth of the thought and mends us with gentle and roight emotions.

If you’re Depressed — don’t listen

Original story w certain cringe worthy fantasies. Very, very dry humor. Performance is meh. If you like monosyllabic (sp?) nuance - its great! I didnt like the main character which i guess was one of the problems. And using They/Them as a pronoun was a bit contrived to describe their child. Sorry! Maybe im old.
