Story
All Hallows Hall, a rambling Tudor mansion on the edge of the bleak, misty moor is not a place many would choose to live. Yet the former governor of Dartmoor Prison did just that. Now he's dead, and his estranged family is set to inherit his estate. But when the dead man's family comes to stay, the atmosphere of the moors seems to drift into every room. Floorboards creak, secret passageways echo and wind whistles in the house's famous priest hole. And then, on the morning the family decides to leave All Hallows Hall once and for all, their young son, Timmy, goes missing.

Story
When Margaret and her husband Hal bought the large Victorian house on Hawthorn Street—for sale at a surprisingly reasonable price—they couldn’t believe they finally had a home of their own. Then they discovered the hauntings. Every September, the walls drip blood. The ghosts of former inhabitants appear, and all of them are terrified of something that lurks in the basement. Most people would flee. Margaret is not most people. Margaret is staying.

When two teenagers go missing from the small, rural town of Sallow Bend, the residents come together to search for them. An old evil is rising, and only one man seems to realize that everyone is in danger and this is not the first time it’s happened. With the carnival in town, people want to have a good time, but for many, this will be the worst time of their lives.

Some art takes on a life of its own. A beautiful house. A loving family. Two kids, a dog, and a tenure-track professorship teaching art at the local university. Dan Rineheart is living the dream. But all dreams must end. When an anonymous painting arrives at the university, Dan is tasked with uncovering the artist. No title. No name. No signature or frame. It’s a disturbing work of grotesque perfection. A work of art...that changes with each viewing. So begins the nightmare. Where painted clocks tick-tock in the dark hours before dawn.

Story
It’s the house of their dreams. Former marine Harry and his wife, Sasha, have packed up their life and their golden retriever, Dash, and fled the corporate rat race to live off the land in rural Idaho. Their breathtaking new home sits on more than forty acres of meadow, aspen trees, and pine forest in the Teton Valley. Even if their friends and family think it’s a strange choice for an up-and-coming pair of urban professionals, Harry and Sasha couldn’t be happier about the future they’re building, all by their lonesome.

Left stranded, she is forced into the dark woodland only to find a woman shouting, urging Mina to run to a concrete bunker. As the door slams behind her, the building is besieged by screams. Mina finds herself in a room with a wall of glass, and an electric light that activates at nightfall, when the watchers come above ground. It’s the mid-'90s. Grunge and flannel are fading as the Spice Girls and Hot Topic conquer the malls. Cherry gloss glistens on the lips of the youth. Modems hiss as America comes online. For nearly two decades, Jamie Warren has been running from darkness. He's haunted by a traumatic childhood and the guilt at having disappeared from his disabled brother's life. Publisher's summary
Disturbing. Original. Terrifying. The 'master of horror' is back with the chilling tale of what lurks in the walls of an abandoned hospital.
In this abandoned hospital, pain lives on... and it wants revenge.
St Philomena's military hospital has been abandoned for over three years. Now Lilian Chesterfield, who works for one of the most successful building companies in England, is in charge of developing it into a luxury housing complex.
But as soon as she and her colleagues start work in the Jacobean-style mansion, their dream turns into a nightmare. They hear screaming from wards full of empty beds. They hear doors slamming and find cutlery scattered over the kitchen floor. Then they see faces peering at them from the mullioned windows.
Lilian is pragmatic–she doesn't believe in the supernatural. But just when she's put her mind at rest by scouring the mansion from top to bottom and finding nothing, a former patient of St Philomena's arrives with a warning. The hospital is haunted. And it is haunted by something a thousand times more terrifying than ghosts...

Story
The girl had been staring into her mirror all morning before she picked up the small bottle of sulphuric acid and poured it over her forehead. Samira was a young woman with her whole life ahead of her. What could have brought her to this? DC Jerry Pardoe and DS Jamila Patel of Tooting Police suspect it's suicide. But then a meek husband kills his wife, and the headteacher of the local school throws her pupils out of a window. It's no longer a random outbreak of horrific crimes. It's a deadly virus. And it's spreading.

Four brand-new horror novellas all about books, stories, manuscripts—the written word has never had sharper teeth. In The Skin of Her Teeth, a cursed novel drives people to their deaths. A delivery job turns deadly in The Dark Brothers' Last Ride. In This Book Belongs to Olo, a lonely child has dangerous control over an usual pop-up book. A choose-your-own adventure game spirals into an uncanny reality in The Story. Full of creepy suspense, these collected novellas are perfect for fans of Paul Tremblay, Stephen King, and Joe Hill.

The same bit of wilderness where his twin brother went missing a year ago. As the bodies are exhumed, Paul travels to Alaska to get closure and put his grief to rest. David Player has spent 30 years trying to forget the traumas of his childhood. The threats, the kidnappings, the murders. The imagined curses of a people born centuries earlier, passed from father to son, mother to daughter, generation to generation. Its climax came in human form, a monster of a man, one of the most notorious serial killers the nation has ever seen: Pee Wee Gaskins. And Gaskins had a particular hatred for the Player family, then for David, himself, who barely escaped those years with his own life intact.

Awesome unique story
The narrator was FANTASTIC in bringing all the characters to a life that was unique to each. Story was great. The only thing that didn’t really match was the title. I’m not sure I heard mention of Phantom Park more than once. But still an awesome story.

“ Save me, Lil. It hurrtttss!”
Well, that was an unexpected hoot. I hope Lillian doesn’t have to listen to Tim for eternity.
Interesting story that was occasionally bogged down by too many exploding people. The narrator really gave it her all considering the material. I might check out another title by this author if the same gal narrates.

Kept me on the edge…
I’m going to try to avoid spoilers.
The narrator was absolutely fantastic and might be my favorite after a single listen.
The story was very interesting and I loved the take on the spirits and why they were still here and haunting the earthly plane.
The main character… eh… I found her to be terribly grating and someone I’d probably hate being around in the real world. I thought she was extremely self serving throughout which made the ending kind of fall flat for me.
While the story was overall an amazing concept stacked on top of the common trope of renovating a haunted building, I thought it got confusing at times due to certain elements of the story not being fleshed out as much as they could/should have.
I’m sure many folks liked or didn’t mind the ending but, as mentioned earlier, the main character was a total ‘Karen’. Sure she had some compassion but her main driving point was her job and keeping it. Maybe this is just another example of elements needing to be fleshed out more but it made the ending completely unbelievable for me.

Loved it
This was beautifully written and narrated, and such a unique story. I had expected a lot of cliches but I was pleasantly surprised. It’s not a story for the faint of heart though as there are some graphic bits, but I was very happy with it.

The Narrator Is Superb
For me the real treasure in this title was Emma Gregory. She is incredibly versatile in her narration. I do mean to say that she is talented To be frank, I avoid horror stories narrated by women, because I find they take the sting out of the tale. But Emma Gregory is perfectly adept. If narration is considered an art form then I would say that Emma Gregory is a virtuoso. I enjoyed the story because of her primarily. The story was unique and I thought it was good.
