Publisher's summary
Rosamund Pike returns with an outstanding narration of The Great Hunt, Book Two of the Wheel of Time, now an original series on Prime Video, starring Rosamund as Moiraine.
In The Great Hunt, the second novel in Robert Jordan’s #1 New York Times bestselling epic fantasy series, The Wheel of Time®, Rand al’Thor and his companions set out to retrieve a powerful magical artifact from The Dark One’s Shadowspawn.
For centuries, gleemen have told the tales of The Great Hunt of the Horn. So many tales about each of the Hunters, and so many Hunters to tell of...
Now the Horn itself is found: the Horn of Valere long thought only legend, the Horn which will raise the dead heroes of the ages.
And it is stolen.
In pursuit of the thieves, Rand al’Thor is determined to keep the Horn out of the grasp of The Dark One. But he has also learned that he is The Dragon Reborn—the Champion of Light destined to stand against the Shadow time and again. It is a duty and a destiny that requires Rand to uncover and master magical capabilities he never imagined he possessed.
Since its debut in 1990, The Wheel of Time® has captivated millions of readers around the globe with its scope, originality, and compelling characters. Critic reviews
“Jordan has come to dominate the world Tolkien began to reveal....The battle scenes have the breathless urgency of firsthand experience....The evil laced into the forces of good, the dangers latent in any promised salvation, the sense of unavoidable onslaught of unpredictable events bear the marks of American national experience during the last three decades.”—The New York Times
“Adventure and mystery and dark things that move in the night—a combination of Robin Hood and Stephen King that is hard to resist. Furthermore, Jordan makes the reader put down the book regretting the wait for the next title in the series.”—Milwaukee Journal Sentinel

When a young man is found gruesomely murdered in a London houseboat, it triggers questions about three women who knew him. Laura is the troubled one-night-stand last seen in the victim’s home. Carla is his grief-stricken aunt, already mourning the recent death of yet another family member. And Miriam is the nosy neighbor clearly keeping secrets from the police. Three women with separate connections to the victim. Three women who are – for different reasons – simmering with resentment. listen to these, not the others!
these are way better than the ones audible previously published. she really brings all of the characters and the story to life.

Wonderful
Pike is a sheer delight to listen to. I’ve loved this novel for many years, and it was fun to listen/read our way through it with my children.

Rosamund Pike is supremely talented!
I can’t wait for more readings by Rosamund Pike! I loved the story before, but her technique of reading brings new life to a story I have known for years. Each character has more personality, spunk, emotion, zest, and appeal than previously imagined. More books will be added to my collection!

ROSAMUND PIKE IS AMAZING
I've previously read the story in my native language but listening to it in English portrayed by the Moraine Sedai herself is just amazing. This is my first audiobook ever listened and I think none will ever beat the amazing performance given by Rosamund Pike

Rosamund Pike has renewed this incredible story
What incredible books and she does them such a gift of delivery. Her pacing, her accents , her emotion brings them to life in vivid detail. Very glad to be looking forward to the 3rd book interpreted by her acting.

I thought the first one was good.
I loved this book had me standing and cheering. I can only hope that the second season of the show reflects this. And Rosamund Pike is excellent again. I hope if the show tanks she still narrates the rest and other novels.

Rosamund Pike make the book even better
Her voice and acting are incredible. Everybody knows the wheel of time is on of the best fantasies, but this is just another level experience with Rosamund!
