Love the story and characters, but this is a series that requires starting with the first book. Otherwise, you will get lost with the list of friends and connections established in prior books.

not loving the narrator
I loved the book, but the narrator just doesn't do it for me. She makes most characters annoying with her voice, even though they are not written that way. I wish the author would switch narrators, but I'm guessing she won't.

Some fun with silly old coots
The story starts with an interesting beginning.
Then you hop into the world with Danielle, Walt and all our favorite people.
Jumping 7 months to December felt a little abrupt and it took awhile to ‘catch up’, so to speak.
The story flows quite nicely after that until we reach the end. There was a little twist when we jump in rewind as Danielle explains what had happened to Lily and Ian. Then we catch up all together for the final scene.
Kept me hopping as I connected all the dots.
In reflection I enjoyed finding the flow in this new direction Ms. Holmes took to tell this story.

Enjoyable
