Publisher's summary

On February 13, 2017, two Indiana teenagers, Abigail Williams, 13, and Liberty German, 14, went for a walk in the woods near the abandoned Monon High Bridge.

They never returned home.

Their bodies were discovered on Valentine's Day morning, sparking a torrent of news coverage and social media speculation that engrossed the attention of people around the world.

A grainy photo of the suspected killer walking across the bridge and a chilling cellphone recording of his voice saying "down the hill" captured the public's attention. Numerous possible suspects were brought to the attention of the authorities but dismissed, leaving everyone wondering who could have committed such a heinous crime.

Author Nic Edwards, host of the wildly popular True Crime Garage podcast, was fascinated by the case and for years conducted his own extensive research and commentary. As such he was able to dissect the investigation that included an extensive list of possible suspects, such as a hatchet-wielding lunatic, a kidnapper with unusual tattoos, a murderous pastor, a rapist, and a father and son catfishing team.

Then in late October 2022, local pharmacy technician Richard Allen was charged with the murders. His arrest raised multiple questions about how he was able to evade law enforcement for so long and what motivated him to commit such a horrific crime.

In The Delphi Murders: The Quest To Find ‘The Man on the Bridge’, Edwards and his best-selling coauthor Brian Whitney (You Have a Very Soft Voice, Susan) provide a detailed account of the investigation from the day the girls’ bodies were found to the events leading up to Allen's arrest, and unique insight into the minds of the killer and those who worked tirelessly to bring him to justice.

Enjoyed!!

I was very excited to listen to this, I am a huge fan of TCG. I loved it!! I thought I knew everything there was to know, and I’m so glad I was wrong. I learned so much about the case from this book. I love how the author wrote like a real person speaks!

Let’s get another, Nic!

Well Worth The Read!!

⭐⭐⭐⭐ SOLID 4.5 STARS I almost gave this one the full 5 stars, which I've never done before with a book yet. Fantastic book! I am very interested in this case and have been following it since the beginning. No, the book doesn't follow this case the whole time, but guess what, that is part of what makes a good true crime book. IMO anyway. Love the narration too! Nic picked a good guy to narrate, although he could have read it himself. Didn't know who Nic was before this book, and I am glad I found him and his podcast now and I will be listening to much more from Nic and the True Crime Garage series. I love the way he tells the details of this case and others. really seems to do a lot of research on cases and ask the hard questions and digs deep into the case. I learned a lot from this book, and that makes me smile. Hands down, the best book I have read this year so far. Would recommend for sure!!

Delphi Case and So Much More

I really enjoyed learning more about Nic and the beginnings of TGC. I could hear his voice in the phrases and idioms of this book. I'm looking forward to following his career as an author.
Maybe they are saving Nic reading it for the updated version after Richard Allen's trial.
Ban the van.

TCG Fan… I’ve heard every episode

I was so incredibly sad when I finished it… although I binged the entire book. So good! If you’ve never listened to True Crime Garage, start now. Just great truth tellers. Completely solid!

Finished in one day!

I'm a listener of True Crime Garage, so I already liked the author. He did a great job with this book. Personally, I feel he would have done well narrating the book himself, but this narrator did a good job.

I highly recommend this book if you're interested in this tragic case. It's handled in a thoughtful and respectful manner.

The great one

Was excited to get this one knocked out, been a fan since the beginning. Only thing that would have made it better was self narration.

Finally we learn about slacking podcasters

Finally we learn about these mysterious dudes who we all thought were alcoholic slackers but clearly they are focused workaholics with great voice and passion. I’m proud of them but not TOO proud because I’m a Hoosier not a buckeye. Lol seriously they are why I love to listen and not read in my old age. Thanks Nic and your baby bro for providing well organized, relevant information for those of us truly obsessed with solving the mysteries. Much adoration! Btw the books a great read too!!

A good listen

I’ve followed the Delphi murder story hoping that the killer would be identified. This audiobook helped round out my knowledge. Nic did a great job.

One of the finest.

One thing I appreciated about this book was the sincerity of the author. His genuine desire to help is lacking in so many true crime podcasts. To see him succeed with this well written volume is remarkable. Be good be kind and don’t litter. I am horrified by the crimes committed and this story was handled with sensitivity. Recommended.
