Fun and funny

This story is very clever and creative but I think the narrator was what really made it great.

Really loved this! Excited for book two!

Salem is smart witty sarcastic and a total bad a$$! I love strong female main characters and she does not disappoint!

Narrator was great

Loved the narrator. The story was great. And it was so funny in places. I literally laughed out loud during some scenes.

This book is a fast paced book with a hilarious story and main character that will make you crack up! Exactly what I needed right now.

Good but...

First of all the characters themselves are fairly well done and have some depth to them, the story plot however is so severely lacking that it leaves a lot to vw desired. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed the book and it seriously made me laugh but I feel like there was more that could have been expanded on and more explanation given towards the plot and building the world than what was actually given and then to just end a crappy a$$ cliff hanger like that feels like such a cop out with is the reason the story got a 2 star from me.

Absolutely loved 😍 it !! Salem reminded me so much of me with the sailors mouth! Can't wait to read book 2!!!

Hilarious FMC

i absolutely love this book. my favorite FMC are the witty sarcastic, food obsessed, go with the flow women that tend to drive the MMC in their lives utterly insane and Salem fits that role to a T. The story was interesting I'm curious to see where it goes. there is still a bit of unknowns in the story as well as the world building.
i like to say there are 2 ways to rate a book. on the writing and on the entertainment value it has. i would rate the writing at a 3 but the entertainment value is defiantly a 5 which is why i settled on a 4 star rating.
i was laughing through out the majority of the book. some of the things that come out of Salem's mouth are usually what i like to call inside thoughts. and her Aunt. I'm living for her Aunt. i hope we get to see more of her in the future.
overall this was a very pleasant read and i will be continuing with the next book. I read this book via Audiobook and highly recommended listening to it. it really add a level of insanity to Salem

Fun grim reaper twist

Enjoyed this narration and story. Does end on a cliffhanger but worth a listen if you aren’t looking for spice.

A grave twist

I liked the story overall minus a few frustrating parts and left questions. The characters are strong and unfolding with the town providing ample evolution for this tale and others. Ends on a sensible cliffhanger as odd as that sounds; finality that leaves you wanting one more sugary treat like a hostess cupcake (wink). I’ll be listening to the second book and not regretting that choice as the story and dialogue are playful and quirky with a slow burn.
