Historia
A soldier, former member of Congress, and a presidential candidate, Tulsi loves her country: "I answered the call of duty and took an oath, dedicating my life to supporting and defending those freedoms, both in uniform and in public office. I became a Democrat when I ran for office because I saw them as a party that stood up for the little guy and against the interests of big business and warmongers. I remained a Democrat for twenty years, albeit with an independent streak." Today that party is unrecognizable.

Historia
Pete Hegseth joined the Army to fight extremists. Then that same Army called him one. The military Pete joined was focused on lethality, competency, and color blindness. Today our brass are following the rest of our country off the cliff of cultural chaos and weakness. Americans with common sense are fighting this on many fronts, but if we can’t save the meritocracy of our military, we’re definitely going to lose everywhere else. The War on Warriors uncovers the deep roots of our dysfunction—a society that has forgotten the men who take risks, cut through red tape, and get their hands dirty.

War can settle disputes, topple tyrants, and bend the trajectory of civilization—sometimes to the breaking point. From Troy to Hiroshima, moments when war has ended in utter annihilation have reverberated through the centuries, signaling the end of political systems, cultures, and epochs. Though much has changed over the millennia, human nature remains the same. In The End of Everything, military historian Victor Davis Hanson narrates a series of sieges and sackings that span the age of antiquity to the conquest of the New World to show how societies descend into barbarism and obliteration.

Does America no longer feel like home? Widespread divorce rates, the erosion of traditional marriage, the popular rise of radical ideologies, attacks on faith, and government interference are only a few of the factors contributing to the struggles of families in our culture. But it doesn't have to be this way. Like many of us, Dr. Ben Carson fears we are losing the country we love. In this provocative and ultimately hopeful book, he gives us the facts, inspiration, and theory-to-action answers we need to restore a key foundation of America: the family.

Resumen del Editor
The New York Times bestselling author, governor of South Dakota, and former congresswoman tells eye-opening stories of DC dysfunction, shares lessons from leading her state through unprecedented challenge, and explains how we seize this moment to move America forward.
Any elected official can talk about how broken our government is. But their solutions always seem to involve more money, new programs—and reelection to another term. Few offer an unfiltered glimpse into how government actually works, empowering citizens with the knowledge to be part of the solution.
Governor Kristi Noem never planned on being in politics. But her concern for our nation compelled her, on a local, national, and global level. Because she took a different path into public service, as a concerned mom and rancher, her insights help every citizen understand how positive change really happens, despite the dysfunction in Washington DC.
Governor Noem explains how the country is not going back to the Republican party of the 2000s. And that’s a good thing. This book is packed with surprising stories and practical lessons from the front lines of the battle. And she names names.
A lot has changed since 2016, and based on her accomplishments in Congress and as Governor, no one is better equipped than Kristi Noem to explain the tremendous opportunities this opens up for every American.
Reseñas de la Crítica
"Governor Kristi Noem is a tremendous leader, one of the best. This book, it's a winner. It exposes the problems we're facing and lays out a fantastic plan to make America great again. You've got to read it!"—Donald J. Trump, 45th President of the United States
"During Covid, Kristi Noem proved she was the Governor with the best instincts. This book is grounded in that same common sense and fearless fight for freedom. It’s the reminder we need in these dark days to never lose hope in America. Get ready to be inspired!"—Rachel Campos-Duffy, mom of nine and co-host of FOX & Friends Weekend
"In addition to fascinating insights on the inner workings of government, this book will make you bolder! Exactly what America needs."—Chaya Raichik, Creator @LibsOfTikTok

When Michael Lewis first met him, Sam Bankman-Fried was the world’s youngest billionaire and crypto’s Gatsby. CEOs, celebrities, and leaders of small countries all vied for his time and cash after he catapulted, practically overnight, onto the Forbes billionaire list. Who was this rumpled guy in cargo shorts and limp white socks, whose eyes twitched across Zoom meetings as he played video games on the side? In Going Infinite Lewis sets out to answer this question, taking listeners into the mind of Bankman-Fried.

For his victims, for their families and for the investigators tasked with finding him, the senselessness and brutality of the Golden State Killer's acts were matched only by the powerlessness they felt at failing to uncover his identity. Then, on April 24, 2018, authorities arrested 72-year-old Joseph James DeAngelo at his home in Citrus Heights, Calif., based on DNA evidence linked to the crimes. Amazingly, it seemed, evil finally had a name. Please note: This work contains descriptions of violent crime and sexual assault and may not be suitable for all listeners.

Experience a bold take on this classic autobiography as it’s performed by Oscar-nominated Laurence Fishburne. In this searing classic autobiography, originally published in 1965, Malcolm X, the Muslim leader, firebrand, and Black empowerment activist, tells the extraordinary story of his life and the growth of the Human Rights movement. His fascinating perspective on the lies and limitations of the American dream and the inherent racism in a society that denies its non-White citizens the opportunity to dream, gives extraordinary insight into the most urgent issues of our own time.

It took me a lifetime to have the courage and the clarity to write my memoir. I want to tell the story of the moments - the ups and downs, the triumphs and traumas, the debacles and the dreams - that contributed to the person I am today. This book is composed of my memories, my mishaps, my struggles, my survival, and my songs. Unfiltered. I went deep into my childhood and gave the scared little girl inside of me a big voice. I let the abandoned and ambitious adolescent have her say, and the betrayed and triumphant woman I became tell her side.

Best-selling author Bryan Burrough recently made a shocking discovery: The small town of Temple, Texas, where he had grown up, had harbored a dark secret. One of his high school classmates, Danny Corwin, was a vicious serial killer. In this chilling tale, Burrough raises important questions of whether serial killers can be recognized before they kill or rehabilitated after they do. It is also a story of Texas politics and power that led the good citizens of the town of Temple to enable a demon who was their worst nightmare.

Small acts of courage matter. Sometimes, they change the world. Our history books are filled with the stories of those who fought for democracy and freedom—for idealism itself—against all odds, from Mahatma Gandhi and Nelson Mandela to Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. These iconic struggles for social change illustrate the importance of engagement and activism, and offer a template for the battles we are fighting today.

Insightful and interesting!
I admire Governor Kristi Noem! I have listened to her for years! She is a down to earth person and has intelligent’s and compassion in her thoughts and decisions. She definitely works for the people. Narrating her book was like me sitting in the same room and absorbing her words and feelings. I personally would like to see her as our next Vice President. She would do an excellent job in this role as she has for South Dakota! I will continue to watch and listen to her. It is a very good book.

She is the most qualified to be President Trump's Vice President and certainly would make a great President after his term! Indeed, I did listen to this book. I used a credit I had for convenience and I felt good about the selection and looked forward to listening. I did connect with the author in regards to views about our country. And her state. I did confess to a friend of mine that I was listening to Governor Noem's book because I was seeking context for myself. My friend shared with me a few similar stories to the authors during conversation. I do find that vocal sounds that express an emotion like laughter don't provide more. I heard an enjoyable tone in the voice on my ears through my headphones. I earned a badge listening to this book. The section of the reading I experienced the largest rush of emotions was when the author spoke about taking an oath. Thank you.

A Down-to-Earth Leader
The Governor did a phenomenal job telling her story. She was direct and true to herself. I appreciated how she connected her leadership style to lessons instilled during her upbringing. I also value how she raises other women and shows confidence by shining a bright light on their successes rather than competing to attempt outshining them. That never is a good look. I also appreciated the various leadership lessons she sprinkled throughout the book and loved the ball juggling ice breaker she describes using at professional gatherings to demonstrate the core tasks of a good team leader. Governor Noem makes her position on key issues clear and is a focused critical thinker who can set aside emotions and make tough decisions when needed. She inspires and appears to value the voices of every day citizens and remains true to herself in her quest to serve. I’d be interested in seeing if her success in a less populated state translates or generalizes to comparable success in perhaps a future vice-presidential or presidential role. Her work in South Dakota has been noteworthy, but with its small population I question whether her projects feel like case studies, where given the small sample size of the US population, the results cannot reliably translate to the same success in larger, more densely populated states. I do think her role in Congress definitely adds to her qualifications beyond that of Governor. I’m looking forward to hearing more from Kristi Noem during the remainder of the 2024 election cycle.

How True Conservatives Should Lead!
I really enjoyed reading Kristi's 2nd book...her commitment to conservative leadership is awesome! I see a lot of haters writing reviews and it is sad that they take sound bites from the media and make judgements about her. I truly hope you will continue your journey in politics and pave the way for more conservative leadership...good leaders like yourself are in very short supply!
