Fantastic series

This is one of those surprising series that caught me unaware. I had not heard of this series and just decided to give it a try on speculation and am I happy I did! Fantastically original story telling

what is happening

so lost, like it's taking me almost 20 chapters to get a vague idea how or what's happening in the story.

Excellent Minus Game System Books

Like an underdog? Like watching them progress right down to their stats - this series is for you. Unique enjoyable main character and hidden complex system.

Great series really enjoyed

I greatly enjoyed the series although I do hope there is more to come if not then the end was just as sudden as every other moment in the series and I can enjoy that as well overall great story and a blast to listen to.

took a bit to get going yet picked up quickly and never showed down.

I would recommend buying the bundle

Makes the book 3 filler worth it. I enjoyed 1 and 2. But in 3... I found myself zoning out more often than not. I also had a lot going on today but that usually doesn't matter. With that being said, I'm still interested and goin to buy book 4. Hopefully with the filler book out the way, we can get to the real good stuff.

The edge of my seat

I loved the book set. Sinner’s journey is certainly the one of an underdog who still manages to surpass others with better situations. The narrator did a fabulous job. Keep ‘em coming! 🥰

Bad writing.

I love this genre of book. There is no reason to use (misuse) fancy words and phrases multiple times to tell the story.

Solid 2star.. slow and lurching story, Boring.

It's not terrible, it's just slow and lurching. The atmosphere doesn't quite capture a sense of other worldliness that it's pretending to grasp at. The character pops in and just agrees to everything immediately. Then it's just semi xenophobic Asian beach town. So the "game" is just mildly racist or geared towards a lower level of life experience? I have listened to a 100+ litrpg and this one is mild and boring. Slow and boring.

Slow Progression and Odd Protagonist

The progression was so slow that it felt irrelevant to the narrative. I'm cool with a slow burn, but this was such little power gain that talking about stats and growth became boring.

Additionally, I listened to about half of the first book and I still have no idea who the protagonist is as a person. His skills and his ability to cause other people harm without major psychological issues make me think that he was a professional soldier, but I would expect a soldier to relate his skills to training he received or to think about how killing stays hard even though these were a lot less difficult for him than the first one. There's nothing like that and no mention that his memories have been wiped, etc. We don't know about the character's family or loved ones either and he never mentions them or thinks about them. At first, that's understandable because the situation is dire, but it starts to make him seem like he has an antisocial disorder after he has down time between battles.
